Nice shadows.

As long as they’re there, and I’m not.

Oops.

I actually meant to… I wrote a comment but I guess I didn’t post it!

I didn’t have your scene info, anyway, though.

Live drawing of an alien!

Proof positive that they exist.

What else could it be?

If friends said, “Can he talk in crab or maybe pelican?”
You’d say, “Like hell he can!” And you’d be right!

I wanted to post this last night but couldn’t find the soundtrack version, only other people singing it.

Today I found it… FWIW….

The lyrics are great, but no matter who sings it, the music is… Well, you decide.

And Rex Harrison… um…. let’s just say… is no Pavarotti.

A wonderful bird is the pelican

His beak can hold more than his bellican

He can put food in his beak

To last him a week

And I don’t see how in the hellican

Not Ogden Nash like some quote sites say.

Nice series of pics. Rapid change versus planned permanence.

No later than Desert Storm because some of those aircraft were retired soon after.

I was pretty sure about three, uncertain about another… and there’s something puzzling about this picture.

So I searched it.

One of the ones I was sure of was wrong…. And the uncertain one was correct. But the puzzle is unsolved.

Left to right…

Veronica Cartwright … who i guessed, and it was right… then I recognized Kurt Russell… Next is Hal Baylor, perhaps an emcee.
Then you probably recognized Bob Denver, too. Then Billy Mumy, and then Jay North, who I thought was somebody else.

The mystery….

It was 1966. Veronica, Kurt, and Jay were teenagers, Billy may have still been 12.

Was Bob Denver a host… or was he somehow getting a teen award? He may not look it, but he’s 31. He’s already well established, having been Maynard G Krebs, and already playing Gilligan, or about to be.

Jokes had been made years before about the Dobie Gillis cast, since high school friends Dobie and Maynard were both played by actors well into their 20s when it started.

If that’s what a prairie looks like in Canada, I’ve been picturing Saskatchewan completely wrong!

Wow… I just searched this image, and about 4 zillion (give or take) photos and paintings showed up of this place.

It’s known on the web as the Loch Glass Pink House, in the Highlands of Scotland, and has been somewhat of a viral sensation.

The actual name of it is Culzie Lodge, and it’s on the Wyvis Estate near the small village of Evanton. But the building itself is said to be abandoned, because there was some sort of problem causing the permits for it to be built being denied, so it can’t have guests.

Obviously someone is doing some upkeep. Walking out to see it from other locations and taking pictures of it is a popular tourist activity, one which must result in all those photos on the Internet.

The best part of Cleo’s performance was her restraint.

A difficult passage for her to play….

I mean, closing up the case, and not using her “instrument”.
