I don’t understand the bit about lions, because from what I’ve read, even healthy lionesses share raising their cubs, and will nurse and protect them together.

It’s females who do most of the hunting, so they do occasionally get killed, away from the pride… but the cubs left behind will be raised by the rest.

Maybe they’re talking about a change of leadership as in one male lion replacing another as the head of the pride… but I’ve never heard of that affecting the cubs.

It is my understanding that male lions who take over a pride will kill the cubs of their defeated predecessors. The females apparently do nothing about this, (and perhaps evolution has bred into them a willingness to go along with it).

This is the wall between two old cemeteries, in Roermond, The Netherlands… one Catholic, the other Protestant.

A Protestant husband and his Catholic wife were not allowed to be buried together, in 1888.

Instead their headstones hold hands across the wall.

The movie

is…
The Karate Kid

The guys…
Ron Thomas, William Zabka, Pat E. Johnson, Chad McQueen, Rob Garrison, and Tony O’Dell

That’s all according to Google… I can’t pretend to be familiar with any of them, so I hope they’re in order!

This is Hippo Square, at the Taipei zoo. The concept was designed by former zoo Director Chen Pao-chung.

A few years ago, the website Bored Panda named it to its list of 25 most creative sculptures in the world.

People are welcome to sit on, climb and interact with it.

If it was here in the US, people would be tripping over it and suing the zoo out of business.

You know, my second thought (after “ooh, cool!”) was “I’m gonna trip over those.”

I put it in my comment, but deleted it. I didn’t want to sound negative, cos I love the statues.

Okay, without referring back

My answers….
1. Three
2. One, unless we’re supposed to count the clock.
3. Ten o’clock
4. Boy’s
5. I remember a stack of three… I don’t know whether that’s the “far” table, though, or there’s another one.
6. Green
7. Garage sale today
8. A red airplane

I have to admit… Because it says to study the scene and then answer questions, I didn’t just study the scene aimlessly, like a real detective might have to.

I started by guessing what questions might be asked, and trying to remember the answers. Turns out most of these were ones I thought of.

I thanked you and explained it back there <– but I dunno whether you tend to go back.
