They are weeping due to the desecration of the Kennedy Center and the removal of the Blue sculpture (erected 2019). The current administration decided it wanted a “more appropriate” sculpture. I’m assuming the sculptor Mr. Shapiro, wasn’t American enough for the current administration. It is a beautiful sculpture and I enjoyed seeing it many times.

He was one of the winningest coaches ever in college football… the one who popularized the forward pass, which I only know because he was one of my dad’s heroes, and the one who famously told his Notre Dame team to “Win one for the Gipper”… which I know because Pat O’Brien said it while playing him in a movie starring Ronald Reagan.

Eye. Check.
