@ Nighthawks … This is, by far, one of the best C&C animations….EVER! (in my humble opinion.)

And, by the way, it amazes me that Cleo can be so talented, graceful and agile considering her long body and short legs. Brava!!

Again, porcupines do *not* have quills that “shoot out of their bodies.” The quils break off when they stick into somebody (like the poor guy that’s trying to stuff them!) Sheesh!

Not my words in that description, but apologies, anyway. I should have edited it. Thanks for the heads-up!!

I wasn’t criticizing you, just the “naturalist” that did the writing…

He hasn’t grown a bit since you posted him last time.

Are you feeding him enough?

I used “Little GTO” as my goto travelling song when I was driving my little Pontiac Sunfire…

Cleo, what will it take to win over those cat judges? Maybe throw in a twist? Nah, they are resolutely prejudiced against dog contestants. Good thing they are outnumbered by the completely impartial dog judges.

PS Nighthawks, did you really think we need those labels?

RE: Back in the USSR – I have heard that BOAC was a terrible airline.

I suspect that most of the people calling British Overseas Airways Corporation “terrible” are the same kind of people who sneer at Air Canada today, or sneered at, Canadian Pacific Airlines, Pacific Western Airlines, Northwest Orient, Pan American Airways, (all of which I’ve been fortunate enough to have flown on) (insert airline name here for the…) … etc. etc. etc…
The kind of people? The…
… “Get-me-that-NOW-what-do-you-mean-someone-else-is-being-served-FIRST?-exuse-me-but-I’m-PRIVELEGED-just-because-I’m-alive…
…kind of people.
Believe me, I’ve flown on enough flights that I’d have run into so-called “bad service” more than once if it existed in the volumes the above say it does.
I’ve never run into bad service, and the only time a piece of my checked baggage went “missing” (skis) it was because I didn’t read the part where it said that because of their shape they’d be unloaded elsewhere; the lost-and-found airline people were really helpful (end of rant).

Meanwhile… the picture of the Vickers VC10 below is a link to an article about B.O.A.C..
Even if you’re not interested in the details, the rest of the pictures, and their captions, alone are worth looking at I think (but then, I like planes).

To really nitpick – it should be

The judges’ decisions are in –

since it showed only the individual decisions, not the aggregate averaged score.

Anyway, it was a great animation. Thanks!

That’s why I phrased it as “really nitpicky”.

How I miss Mr Paulson.

The grace, the agility, the strength … Cleo is clearly the Simone Biles of the four-legged world. And Cleo is right. It is always the cat judges. They are like the East German judges of days gone by. It’s all political.
This is why I disassociated myself from the Olympics when Salt Lake City blew up into scandal. When everything about the event is for sale, and it becomes about the country instead of the athlete, why bother with it?

To be honest, I was judging your animation, not Clio’s performance. I think the cats would likewise score you highly, they like nighthawks (particularly for late supper).

I’ll echo everyone else’s comments about the politics in the Olympics. But you do have to admit that the judge on the right (EWC) was the most impartial………….He gave Cleo the best of the cat judges. TeeHee.

This is a great animation. Perkycat will always give Cleo a 10. You have to realize all the acrobatics a cat can do with their lithe bodies. So this isn’t that incredible to them. 🥇

Luckily there are four fair and impartial judges, who happen to be dogs…. and only three conniving felines.

If you throw out the top and bottom scores, which I’ve been told is what they do, the remaining five total 28.5 and average out to 5.7….

unless there is a separate panel providing a difficulty ranking.

Far be it from me to explain or even understand Olympic scoring.

But 5.7, if that’s it, might still beat all the other contestants, as any other dogs would have the same problem with the cat judges.

And no cat could win, unless at least one of the canine judges forgot to award it a totally impartial zero.

“Back in the USSR” is OK, but I wish I could find “Bark in the USSR” by the Beagles.

YouTube seems prejudiced against canine howlers.
