No, they can’t just take the 144 mph and then compare it to the 500 winner’s
average speed for the race and then calculate that the Cobra would win those
races. That’s apples and oranges. The AVERAGE speed of the race includes
pit stops and yellow light slow downs for crashes. Even the race cars of the
50’s could top 170 at the end of the straightaways easily. The Cobra’s top
speed of 160 would have not been competitive, unless there were no stops and
continued to go at that speed when conditions on the race track would have
made it unsafe.
to claim that this fancy, overpowered sportscar could win at Indy just because
it has a high top end speed is ludicrous
I’m a lot like Bacchus when getting in bed. I have to squirm and fidget until all my parts are in the proper place for sleeping. Then I sleep really good.
bet you don’t paw your mattress over and over and then turn in circles until
you get to the same place you started and then plop down as if gravity ceased
to exist.
I don’t think my husband would like me pawing the mattress and I definitely couldn’t turn in a circle. I have to get my arms just so and my legs right and my hips in the indents and the pillow just so and the covers how I like them….then I have to get my arms all situated again. If I’m lucky, I’ve got everything in the comfortable spots. This goes very quickly most night.

Bacchus is very fussy, but eventually he got the couch where he wanted it to be.
