I found others: 1. the lettering in “bathe”; 2. the dog’s smile; 3. curb detailing on sidewalk; 4. sign on right side of window (writing looks different); 5. dog-walker’s left leg moved; 6. dog-walker’s pants are different; 7. dog-walker has one more hair atop head; 8. window is lower; 9. door is lower; 10. sidewalk is lower; 11. only one “dividing line” on sidewalk, where “we now/we no longer bathe cats!” sign is; 12. cartoonist’s signature in second panel!
By the way, people have been asking about you over at GoComics, on the “Daddy’s Home” strip. Seems they’re concerned about you because they haven’t seen anything posted by you there in the last 11 days. Did you get banned for some reason, or is it that you simply haven’t posted for whatever reason?
Ernie, my late husband, loved this song, but I’ll NEVER know why! I think it’s one of the worst songs ever recorded!!! It’s on the same album (Wheatfield Soul) as “These Eyes”.
You be the judge:
Most of the commenters on YouTube love it, as well, although I still don’t understand why. So, what do YOU think?
I don’t know if this qualifies as a dissenting opinion or not, but I listened to the whole thing. I liked it better than These Eyes. With the caveat that I have only listened to it ONE TIME, I’ll make these observations. There is an accelerando about 1:30 into the song that leads into a beat that sounds like something from an adult film of that era. At least to me. I wasn’t old enough to see an adult movie when they recorded it. It is mirrored by a decelerando about 1:30 before the end of the song. Just a bit of structural symmetry I did not expect. Other random observations:
The bass has an unusually prominent and melodic voice in the band’s sound. Conversely, the guitar has an unusually percussive voice.
The constantly repetitive lyrics are quickly boring. True of both songs. But at least Friends of Mine has more variety, far more “verses,” and a wider variety of styles and moods. It’s a more versatile song in that regard. It feels more like it has “a point”, whereas These Eyes is more of a response to a single event, really a traditional lament.
The last 1:30 turns into their take on Dave Brubeck’s famous Take Five. That’s not the only quote in the song from other musician’s material, but it is the last one so it is also the one that stuck in my short term memory.
I think I’ll just stop now to preserve the “immediacy” of my reaction.
Smart dog! Hopefully the flush isn’t too powerful. We had a cat that would sit on the lid while my husband was shaving, etc. One time the lid was up and he jumped up there. Yes, he shot out of there like a rocket.
I have seen this gag circulated via email. Except that the emailed version ended with a photo of a dog that appeared to be laughing hysterically.
Or perhaps I should say “howling with laughter.”
When we remodeled, over the course of 3 years, finishing about 2 years ago, we decided we were not moving out to some retirement home. An elevator helps a lot (basement plus 3 floors). We made two of the bathroom showers barrier free and installed grab bars, sometimes I think not enough grab bars. There is a bench seat at one end with a hand-held shower, and at the other end is an overhead shower. It works well, but as I said I wish we had installed more grab bars. Outside the shower, all the towel bars are grab bars, you would never notice.
Find the # of differences between these two panels.
Gee, that’s a hard one! I’m usually good at FTD’s, but this one has my stumped!
maybe because it’s vertical, not side be side?
Now I feel challenged….
Here you go… or not….
Not to mention Cleo’s eye, Claude’s pants (color and cuff), and yes, that bit of yellow at the bottom.
And Claude’s placement of feet.
And his really tiny smile.
One of my square circles was meant to be around his foot…
Then, as I said, I stopped counting.
My “solution” was just a joke… I think I could just about cover it in blue rings before we’re done.
LOL
One of your ‘square circles’, huh?? Funny.

Thank you, JPuzz!
Great to see you on “Cleo and Company”!
I was having some medical issues, and even now I get too tired by the time I finish here…
Cleo is posted hours earlier than GoComics.
But I’ll try to get back over there.
….
Funny thing is, I’ve hardly posted anything on “Daddy’s Home” in the last couple of years…
It’s actually on other strips where I feel like I’ve been remiss.
Don’t be a stranger here!
Well – you shouldn’t have tried to get the QotD in those:
BUNNIES!
I got 11, even counting all the damage to the groomer as just 1.
Bravo!
😀 I will take your word for it!
The “Good Deed” video (the 3rd one) was excellent! It’s really a heart-warmer!
I couldn’t help hoping the person on crutches actually wanted to go across the street. 🙂
These Eyes: I can never resist belting out that repeating chorus:
“These eyes are cryin’
These eyes have seen a lot of love
But they’re never gonna see another one like I had with you”

10 minutes?!
To each his own… but to me it sounds like random pieces of lyrics from songs they never wrote any music for.
I made it 6 minutes in, till the lead singer (talker?) wouldn’t stop shouting, to a drumbeat with no melody, about an executed man’s corpse, and God…
that was about twelve times enough for me.
Anybody who likes it is very welcome to take the four minutes I didn’t use, because I’d as soon never hear them.
Yeah, but what did you REALLY think? (hehee)
yeah, don’t just hate when Susan is hides her feelings?
I got 4 minutes in by watching Star Trek (muted) at the same time. No thanks.
I was starting to think it was just me…….good to hear that you and Susan agree with me.
Thanks for trying to hang in there to give it a chance. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard it (and, really didn’t want to! LOL)
a minute 49 was all I could handle
sooooooo, i won’t even save this for later!
after that, I need a whisky sour to wash the taste out of my ears

StelBel …thank you for your late comments on yesterday’s page…
And thank you Cleo for the generous offer.
I answered you both back there.

Good morning, Cleo phans.
The post I left by the dog is phunnie, not based in reality.
DO NOT try this at home kids.
Anyone sensing a theme with these?
Y’all have a sweeeeeet day! (((((HuGz!)))))
THANK ALL of you for your good wishes and hints. I love you all!
I can sit up now and walk a little. the pain level is down to a 4!!! hooray!
xoxo
Glad to hear that! I hope it gets better every day. No fun being in pain.
I checked out the exercises you saw on the web. Yikes! talk about torture!
I couldn’t do those on my best day!
❤❤ My sympathies! I’m still nursing some bruised ribs after a fall Sunday night.
I give everyone the same advice, and people keep ignoring it:
DON’T FALL!
Sheesh….
we’re having our master shower room refitted with grab bars and other safety fixtures for that exact reason/

Good luck with your remodel!
Falling is no fun! You be careful. I agree with Susan ~ just don’t fall!
OMFD! The dew point just hit 79 here!
Adding 17 degrees F to air temps. In the shade!
Go into the sun and add another 15!
That’s obscene.
You are very funny, nighthawks! Love this one. He probably should have practiced washing cats first. At least it didn’t take him long to learn
Rocky Raccoon!
