I watched the chop suey video and like you, I liked the details on slicing the vegetables; I learned a new way to mince garlic.
The bit about the use of a wok on a stove burner was interesting too, I don’t own one, but it would never have occurred to me that the whole wok should be the same temperature to cook the contents properly.
Mark’s use of “low sodium” broth goes against my grain. I don’t use “diet” anything because usually that stuff is about as flavourful as cardboard.
I’ve never had oyster sauce that I know of, I have eaten in a fair number of Chinese restaurants, but oysters and clams are simply not on my food menu so I’ve never bought any for my kitchen.
I’m going to have to buy some chow mein noodles again I haven’t bought any for years now; I eat them cooked or dry when I have them.

It would be kind of nice if libraries served food. But….they always worry about their books getting messy. I’m sure we would all be neat and careful. Right??

I don’t even know for sure that there are oysters in oyster sauce. Anyway it’s a good change from soy sauce once in a while.
There is – in the good brands’ ones anyways.
