Wish I could tell you, Dennis, but I found it on a random search and so far, at least, I can’t find any information about it. There may not be any interesting back story, but if I can come across one, I’ll let you know. I suspect it might have been from a collection of similar fashion photographs done in a renaissance style, but I can’t say for sure. I love the very subtle animation, which is quite well done, in my opinion.
If you pay any attention whatever to my ramblings, you may remember I was reading “Fair Warning” by Michael Connelly.
I enjoyed it right through to the end, but what struck me was something that Connelly felt he had to put in an explanation about.
It was admittedly broad, but it was an explanation about why Jack McEvoy, the protagonist, named one of his sources “Deep Throat.”
Yup, it’s now that far back in history.
At first, the white dot just looked like an eerie white eye, so I just let it be. NOW that you’ve pointed out a human face, that’s ALL I can see!! Instead of an earworm, it’s an EYEWORM !!!
I guess it is the time to make meat pies. I have a couple favorite recipes. I make enough filling for 3 pies and freeze 2.
We actually had single-serve pot pies last night. There is a local baker who makes them, in a variety of flavors, and my wife likes to stock up on them in the freezer for an easy meal once in a while.
I’m going to Oklahoma later this morning. Smithville to be exact. To the tribal burial grounds of the Choctaw Nation for the funeral of a wife of a dear friend. She was 96.

Art and son really sound like the Everly Brothers!
I thought so, too!
OK Stel, what’s the story here?

I think it’s always been a a very well put together instructional item for a Java Script tutorial on animation. This
LINK
will take you to pages and pages of reproductions in Google search.
It’s by fashion photographer Jamie Beck and animator Kevin Burg.
I don’t have time to research more today, but if you do a google image search for jamie beck and kevin burg fairy gif you should find it.
Thanks, Alexi and Plods !!!!
A picture link to an article about the photographer (died 1904 at age 74) who set up the “American Bison Cantering in 1887.
An interesting life.
Thanks, Alexi !

I would love to hear those bassets howling the theme song!
Beach Boys doing Okie from Muskogie is quite a trip. Of course I liked the B side, I’m proud to be a Hippie from Mississippee.
First the Beach Boys turning into hippies… Then hearing them singing Merle Haggard’s anti-hippie anthem…
Long haired, bearded Mike Love not even cracking a smile at the contradictions…
It’s all kinda surreal…
….
There are apparently a lot of parodies of that song… even several different songs called “Hippie from Mississippi”…
Here’s one… dunno if it’s the one you meant, or you were making up that title….
…
But the parody we heard on the radio at the time was by the Youngbloods…
Ever since the Youngbloods opened Woodstock, I have been a fan. True, there have been many parodies, not all recorded.
I certainly never expected to find the Beach Boys doing that song!
Oooh…
Doggers and Weimaraner’s very first musical collaboration!
A great way to start…. by creating the enduringly popular “Oklahounda”.
…..
So many memories!
I confess, some of this I have told before….
My parents bought the stage musical recording of Oklahounda when I was very little, then took us all to see the movie when it was new.
They loved it… and I grew up loving it too …
Listening to the albums… the stage production on 78’s and later the film version on vinyl…
And singing (very badly!) those now well-known tunes….
imitating Gloria Grrram’s twangy howling of “I’m Just a Dog Who Cain’t Hear ‘No!’ ” …
And even trying to do high kicks like the impossibly-limber-for-a-basset Charlotte Greenbone’s Old Aunt Yeller…
(I loved watching her in anything she did!)
….
And of course, I attempted to sing duets with myself….
Alternating a no doubt off-key childish tenor for Gordy MacHound, with a squeaky falsetto for the lovely Shirley JoBasset….
“Don’t put… your paw on mine….”
“But I saw…. how you gnaw on mine….”
“No! Don’t put… your paw on mine…
People will say I’m in heat!”
……
I haven’t seen Oklahounda in years…
This revival may, to some, be considered hopelessly old fashioned…
But I’m so glad to be getting another chance!
In glorious CanineColor®!
Thanks, Stel!
I know it’s probably me… and a trick of the light on his shaggy head…
Plus a little gleam that the camera caught, and turned into a white dot.
But I can’t look at that bison, and not see him with a huge, eerie, human face.
At first, the white dot just looked like an eerie white eye, so I just let it be. NOW that you’ve pointed out a human face, that’s ALL I can see!! Instead of an earworm, it’s an EYEWORM !!!
.
Naughty octopus, lifting that woman’s skirt!
Chicken pot pie
cute!
Of course, Weird Al!
@Dennis: I thought so, too (about it being Weird Al), but now I’m confused after reading this in the YouTube comments:
I guess it is the time to make meat pies. I have a couple favorite recipes. I make enough filling for 3 pies and freeze 2.
We actually had single-serve pot pies last night. There is a local baker who makes them, in a variety of flavors, and my wife likes to stock up on them in the freezer for an easy meal once in a while.
What a dope!

So sorry for the loss of your friend’s wife. Have a safe trip.
That’s not all that far from Bokoshe where some of my ancestors lived.
Know right where Bokoshe is. Used to drive through there on my way to Dallas,
Condolences to you and your friend. Safe travels.
Good morning Balladeers, (((((Plods))))) and Miss Susan.
Loved Gordon MacRae’s voice as a kid. I can only imagine MacHound’s.
Good morning musical and poster phans!
Gotta love todays excellent eye grabber.
Gotta go. (((((HuGz!)))))
today is also national ‘snack stick’ day. They look like dog treats to me
How about a Slim Jim?
Thanks, Plods !!
This poster is precious. Looks so much more endearing than the human one. Now I will have “Oh, what a beautiful naptime” in my head all day.
Hah hah! I suppose there are worse songs to have stuck in your head!! Thanks for the kind words, PC !
