Some general information about S(pecial) A(ir) M(ission) 26000 and its pilot at the time of the photograph above — “Air Force One” when presidents Kennedy, Johnson, or Nixon were aboard — at the picture link
The link below this one lists the (publicly available at least / come on, this is the President of the United States there would be some modifications) specifications of the Boeing C-137 Stratoliner and its variations.
Accepting that power transfers at the beginning of an oath, no child born at or after 14:38 hrs. Central Standard Time Friday, November 22, 1963 ever had a President Kennedy in their world and the eldest of them will reach the age of 58 years at that time today.
These magazine covers (see the link below) give a better rendition of the Louis L’Amour title “Down Paagumene Way.”
The story is included in “The Collected Short Stories of Louis L’Amour The Adventure Stories – Volume IV”
This was added at around 11:00 hrs. E.S.T. and is a mixture of a summary of the story, some illustrations from it and some VERY BLUNT wartime propaganda posters.
Against the Wind – This song had a good connection with Tom Hanks running. But after I watched it. I replayed the song a couple times with my eyes closed. It is a powerful song on its own.
Hmmm….
Going by the picture it appears to be a variation of this very simple relish.

“Cranberry and Orange Relish”
(SERVES SIX)
1 pound cranberries
1 small orange
3/4 cup sugar
Wash the cranberries. Cut the orange in pieces and remove the seeds;
do not peel. Chop the cranberries and orange with a food chopper or
in a food processer. Add the sugar and stir well. Let stand at least 30
minutes before serving.
I was in class, 7th grade I think. It was a Catholic school so this hit pretty hard. The school had just started experimenting with TVs in classrooms for educational programs, and the teacher tuned in the assassination coverage. After a while we were sent home.
This is the first thing I really remember happening outside my little world. I’d just turned 5. I was terrified that someone might decide to shoot my Daddy too. After all, I could see his kids on TV crying about their Dad. Never occurred to me that there was a big difference between my GS7 Dad working for Fleet Accounting and their Dad as President.

I think Clara is going to have the best night’s sleep. Cleo calling Claude a genius could only be in Claude’s dreams.

Mamas, don’t let your puppies grow up to be cowdogs.
Dennis, did you catch my answer to you yesterday re: “Footloose”?
I did. I tried once and could not make the connection, so I went back and printed your instructions, I will give it another shot later.
