8 medium carrots
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons white sugar (yes, tablespoons)
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon fat
Scrape carrots; cut lengthwise in quarters.
Add all remaining ingredients; cover tightly.
Cook over low heat until carrots are glazed and tender.
Notes from me:
Fat: Crisco Vegetable Shortening, Corn Oil or lard; butter is too light, and margarine
is yeeeeech ! ! ! ! !
