All time great music!! Especially ‘What’ll I Do’ by the great Irving Berlin!
I didn’t know they used it in The Great Bassetby. For sure I’ll have to watch it again.
That “The Roaring 20s, Documentary – …” video is well worth watching, I think.
Simply done but not simplistic.
And me, being me, I went looking.
The sign in the attachment begins its appearance at 1:57 in the video.
Here is a WIIPEDIA LINK to an article about the organization, and its founder (when you get to the article’s picture copy note the date discrepancy between the captions).
I can’t find a copy of “The Great Bassetby” anywhere in the human universe.
I still doubt, however that Bassetby could really made dislikeable (he would be a basset hound after all, even though fictional).
In the human universe, I still say the characters of “The Great Gatsby” are even more dislikeable, although far more interesting and fun to read, than that badly written waste of paper (in my considered opinion), Holden Caulfield.
notable for the high school freshman that I was about ‘Catcher in the Rye’, was that it was the first time I saw the f-word in a book
quite shocking way back then.
old Holden was quite the unlikeable character too

This map shows the modern day rendition
The video (there is no narration / I found the videographer’s choice of music very annoying):

Hey! There’s a “find all the animals” picture, too!
Find the dog?
So that’s the reason why the pebbles bark!
Gosh. There could be 101 of them!

The Great Bassetby… by StelBel
I’m cuddling my computer for the warmth…
Baby it’s cold outside…
(((((HuGz!)))))
This Canadian says it’s not cold until the ambient gets below 0° F. with a wind above 20 miles an hour. 🙂
I’ve ridden a snowmobile in 40 below.
Once I hit 70, it changed from that to 20F
Nope. Just, nope.
I set this to start where your President begins to speak.
He pulls no punches.
Rather than burying this website with repudiating stories and videos, I’ll just say I’m out of here.
Please don’t leave!
Thanks for posting this. The speeches occurred before I got to the computer, so I was just getting snippets.
