But is it really there?

Apparently there’s a filter out there that adds it to the background of other pictures.

I wonder if he pours his wine into his head to make it last longer or hit more completely. Looks like a lot of area to absorb the alcohol. Maybe that’s why his hat’s smoking.

Looks like he has the same dressmaker as Carol Burnett.

She’s actually laughing at his lame costume (and wearing heels out in the sand and rocks).

The adolescent that still resides within me sees this and thinks, gee I should have gone into acting. I cant help but notice all the intimate contact on Dancing With the Stars and think maybe being a dancer would be fun. Sorry, there are certain parts of my brain that refuse to grow up.

LOL… Even when he picks her up, half heartedly kicking and screaming, she’s obviously laughing.

I guess she knows how cheesy the movie is.

They couldn’t even pay for a robot costume, and used a leftover ape suit!

Probably flying to a climate conference in his single passenger plane.

That’s a short-range aerobatic-capable light plane. It’s range is likely 300-500 miles. Any trip to a conference would have to be local and probably use less fuel than a few daily commutes in a large, otherwise unoccupied SUV.

Thanks to planes like that we have airline pilots.

All those Chiquita banana commercials in the 50s were meant to convince Americans to wait until bananas were speckled, and full of flavor instead of trying to eat underripe, sour, green-tipped yellow bananas, and throwing them away when they were perfect…

Something that’s common knowledge in the regions where they grow. Some varieties, in fact, including plantains, are totally brown on the outside when ripe.

Now there are “health” websites trying to push eating totally green bananas, for their lack of sugar, and their insoluble fiber.

But for many of us, green bananas are inedible, taste sour, with no banana flavor, and cause stomach upset.

I personally feel ill after eating an even slightly green banana.

Your mileage, as they say, may vary…
But I’ll continue to listen to Chiquita! She should know!

I’ve had slightly green ones taste too green for me, and slightly greens that had no hint of the unripe flavor. They are very inconsistent. I will eat them up through slightly speckled (labeled “ripe” above; beyond that I don’t like them.

I know what you mean but in reverse.

“Ripe”, above, is my starting point… But sometimes those taste too green.

“Very ripe” is usually perfect, but what they call “overripe” can be too.

Actually overripe, ready for banana bread, is even riper… but I’ll still eat them raw, even very soft inside, but not translucent.

Doesn’t it seem like the time spread from under ripe and overripe is now about 3 days.
Didn’t used to be like that.

It can be as long as a week or as quick as an hour. We’ve had green ones develop spots and start turning brown, skipping yellow altogether. My favorite is mostly yellow with just a touch of the green taste.

This is OK, but the huge statue in Palm Springs is way too much when you see it in person.

Me too. I almost quit after seeing one of the round bunny noses; but then noticed a second one and realized the ring must be something else.

Sometimes a timely headlock can save a poor hapless donut.

At least from the dog.

Here I am!

You thought I wouldn’t show up… Well, April Fools!

We had a power outage last night… It’s back now, but the strangely coincidental thing is that my electricity is scheduled to be out all day today.

That was supposed to start an hour and a half ago, but didn’t.
Ya never know.

Anyway… Nighthawks… What’s better late than never?

You have an April Fools strip up… right on time…

And if you meant the Hallelujah Chorus, it’s from the Messiah, which is an Easter work.

Note: I started this post almost two hours ago, but of course the electricity did go out.

Now I’m at a cafe with WiFi. Can’t take too long, cos I can’t charge my tablet here🙄

Pick yourself up a couple of reasonable size USB powerbanks (The stated capacities are in mAh, and are often overstated) and keep them charged. They normally hold charge very well with minimal self-discharge. With them you can recharge your phone or tablet if you do have an unexpected power outage, plus you can use them to extend the battery of your tablet when at the cafe 🙂

Lol… I have I think two of them.

Problem is, you have to remember to keep them charged.

I use them so seldom I didn’t🙄

Also, I should get a newer one… They’re so old they don’t have enough power for newer devices.

A small USB solar charger is probably what you need then. The cells can’t overcharge because of the regulator in the powerbank, but the bank would remain fully charged with no intervention.

I have a small solar panel set up on one of my vehicles to stop the battery depleting as I only drive it once a week or so.
