I had to scroll down till I had seen the entire image before I knew what it was. They are extraordinary creatures, uniquely adapted to the environment they inhabit. Impressive in size, durability, & toughness. And don’t try roller skating with them either.

Taken in Yellowstone National Park in the USA,
photographer Tom Murphy braved the harsh conditions at
35 below zero in order to capture this magnificent shot.
I missed this version, too… but I do remember having a comic book featuring Hope in one of his “Road” pictures, alongside Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour.
I was pretty young, and had never seen one of those, so when I finally did, I was surprised that there were movies like my comic book, instead of the other way around.
I also had a Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis comic, that I read over and over for years, so I can still tell you my favorite joke from it, and at least one with the Three Stooges.
…
I was very into comic books, and never threw them away, and would have quite a valuable collection today if it weren’t for two things:
1) We were a military family and my father threw out my comic books whenever we moved….
And 2) I had flat out terrible taste in comics.
I don’t think even today there’s a huge market for the likes of Richie Rich, Little Lotta and Casper.
…
By the time I started reading Spiderman and the Fantastic Four, as a college student, I had stopped saving them….
Nor did I save all my underground comics later.
I suppose that’s why there are valuable comics now, though… cos so many got thrown away.
If you have a valuable early Spiderman, you can thank me for contributing to its rarity by not keeping my copy.
Looks like the kid is hiding the balloon until the adult drapes the cloth. The kids on the floor can’t see the bent-over head when the cloth is pulled.
This was visible and running when I first visited this morning, but now it only comes up as “comment image” in a link form that doesn’t work.
Word press.
Here’s what the coding looks like when “inspect” is used here.
Hmm… Kinda wondering how Cleo manages to move the arms on those hand puppets.
Look especially at the white kitty in panel 2… a bit difficult to accomplish with a paw.
Then again, she fires weapons, shoots arrows with a bow, and uses knives, forks, and the TV remote, and I don’t give it much thought, so perhaps I shouldn’t now.
…
Besides, from the looks of panel 3, this may have been the last time she could do it anyway.

This way to fame and glory.

what a shot! the buffalo has got to be my all-time favorite animals in the world!
I’ve heard and seen pictures of the snow leopard, the snowy egret, snowy owl, and the probably mythical Chinese snow lion…
But I’ve never heard of the snowy bison.

Bob Hope was a comic book character? I missed that.

Does anybody really understand this?
I’m thinking it’s a magic trick… she’s making the ball disappear.
She’s the only adult, so maybe the teacher?
But there are apparently older kids in back, so maybe not a classroom…
and why are the boys on the floor cowering in terror?
Do they think the ball was his head?
Yeah yeah, it’s past my bedtime.

SHE BROKE HIM!

As I said, it worked, and then it didn’t.
Worked here for me on my MAC computer and on Safari, but it did take an unusually long time to load before the animation cut in.
Worked all too well for me. What a horrible trick to show those kids. I think it is disgusting!!

Some pretty energetic dancing in the Richie Valens number!
I can’t imagine how Cleo thought that might work.
Cleo should have gotten herself a pair of those:
Extra three is both heart wrenching and uplifting.
I went back to watch it. Unbelievable!
Another “comment image.”
Now the “comment image” ones are all working again.(10:24 hrs. E.D.T.) ‽ ‽ ‽
Oh, well.
A “hot oven” is 400° to 450° F..

Stel posted an Andy Grammer video the other day, which did not become my earworm of the week…
Curiously, this one did instead…
LOL! Cleo sure got it this time! OUCH!
Subtle!
And smart!
Gee, I wonder what he wants..
Looks like some sort of undersea plant.
