I’ve said that before about the actual coffee machines.
Maybe the reason fancy coffee has gotten so popular in the 21st century (and yeah, very late 20th too) is that the machines are actually Android spies for the aliens who manufacture them….
They push us to become addicted, and put mind control drugs in the coffee, so we’ll be ready for the takeover.
Is it the vastness of the United States, the wide open spaces, and the cheapness of land, compared to Europe, that made our forebears build such wide streets in this country?
This street looks impossibly narrow to American eyes.
A long ago French friend said American streets looked like an urban version of the praries.
I fell asleep again last night while posting here… Sigh…
So I never got to finish a couple of things.
For one, I was in the middle of replying to P51Strega about that word puzzle.
I had made a list but never clicked Post Comment…
so I went back and did that tonight on yesterday’s page.
….
The other is that I was going to say that the wonderful little bathroom tableau, with a scrub brush for a shower, is by Japanese artist Tatsuya Tanaka.
Don’t know if that’s who you guys were thinking of, but we’ve seen a few of his other photos here before.
…
It reminds me a little of Terry Border, who makes very funny “comics” by arranging and manipulating found objects, toys and miniatures, often incorporating vegetables, fruit, and bent wires.
You may have seen his “strip”, called Bent Objects, which was on GoComics for a while.
I was a fan, but it disappeared.
i heard that he left because GoComics tried to censor a couple of his photos for being too suggestive.
If that’s true it’s pretty funny when you consider that they were all pictures of inanimate objects.
i think one of the ones in question involved a tube of toothpaste doing something racy to a toothbrush.🤭
I could not remember the Japanese artists name but i remember Terry. Bent Objects was in my queue.
The Japanese artist has a large large collection of miniatures to work with. I saw a photo of just part of it and its also quite comprehensive.
Just add an amazing imagination and you get fun stuff. 😀
I just got through a week of strips. Susan, thanks for the sad news about ML and her husband. We knew she would have a tough row to hoe but it comes too soon.
.
‘Atsa one spicy meat-a-ball!
You are old. 😀
But you recognized it… So…
And I got nothing to say cos I’m older. 😁
It ain’t a bunny, but it’s still cute.
I think the ear tufts mean it’s a Eurasian red squirrel.
North American Red squirrels don’t have them.
,
The robots take over?

Dang! That place is everywhere!
You could post one every day for quite a while, I bet.
Besides the Mona Lisa, I’m not sure I’ve seen another painting so much parodied.
Maybe Starry Night, too. Maybe.
Or maybe the many incantations of Edvard Munch’s The Scream…
Yep…. Definitely on the short list!
1890
I’m glad the sound is turned off on this one!

Oooooh! Now you’re in for it! Run!!!
I think I have to go home now.
And now name all of those movies.
nighthawk’s version of the background characters on the album cover art for
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band…
I recognize The Invisible Man…..
I’m listening to “Spooky” while looking at this picture.
.,
Wafer looks about like I feel.
My 2 year old is far from lazy.
Your lab is more fun!
Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!!!!
too bad I couldn’t provide the sound from this bit I’ve seen often…….
for the 3 Stooges, the funniest part is the sounds —by far
She looks like she could be so many famous women once she grows up.
Yep, it’s one of those.
Actually we had a different one of them a couple of weeks ago or so.
I was about to give up when I noticed her mouth and cheeks.
She still wears that expression sometimes.
Nope and nope. Thank you (and Liverlips) for letting me know.
Recognized her at once.
I knew this one for a change!
I wasn’t even close.
I couldn’t get either the kid or the adult.
,,.
Firehouse Five Plus Two
That was my first thought. 😀
…
Beautiful. I’ll bet that warm sun feels good. Still in velvet, I see.
This is a ride to get treats, right???
I hope one of them can read the instructions on the emergency exits. Even if it’s only the French-speaking one.
They’ll be ok.
Not going to their doom or even to the vet….the window says “Daycare and Boarding”.
I’m sure they all have owners…
Can’t tell by looking at the labs, but that schnauzer has an expensive haircut.
I like the “seat belts”. Nice to see them safely restrained.
If they start barking it will be DEAFENING !

It’s late to post this, I guess… even though still technically morning on the West Coast.
But I just found Terry Border’s R-if-not-X-rated photo.
I’ll put it in a spoiler box, so if you don’t want to see such things, please don’t look 🤫
I think a kid (and a lot of grown-ups) would just think the toothbrush is instructing the toothpaste in proper procedure.
LOL
