I don’t know about a television character, but the character Jim in “Huckleberry Finn” definitely said it:
Jim didn’t say nothing for about five minutes, but set there studying over it. Then he says: “Well, den, I reck’n I did dream it, Huck; but dog my cats ef it ain’t de powerfullest dream I ever see. En I hain’t ever had no dream b’fo’ dat’s tired me like dis one.”
Probably a memoriam to a Soviet astronaut. Our journey into space was not without all of our brave sacrifices. I raise a glass to them and their adventurism!
I see a couple of things that maybe could be an elephant but I don’t think so, and the resolution is too poor to tell.
Both are….
…behind the long table that runs to the right.
One is way back on a shelf, barely visible between the tall white oil lamp and the small potted plant to its left. Could be an elephant’s trunk but more likely a teapot.
The other is to the right of the lamp, in fact over at the right hand edge of the picture… I thought it looked maybe like elephant ears but the now I think it’s a couple more of those hanging cups.
When i was a kid skateboards had steel wheels.
The first time i snuck into a bar it was to check out a Pong table.
Soon after i could go into the bar when Pac Man first came out.
When there was an alert on the base pop came home with a hand held radio. Not even any pagers.
I saw the first Star Wars when i was in the service. At a 2 screen drive in.
Yes. I struggle with it. New stuff.
Broke my big toe when I was 15-1/2 on a steel-wheeled skate board when it hit a tiny rock on a newly paved street. We were going to br driving to Santa Cruz, to visit my aunt (who eventially lived to 103), and I was going to get to drive!!!. Needless to say, I didn’t get to drive!!! Probably warped me forever, or so my 15-1/2 year-old-totally-mature-brain reasoned!!! Fun times! {^¿^}
I hear you. What you’re saying is that you’re old. What were new and mesmerizing advances in technology when you were at the age to be on the leading edge of technology, now seem out-dated and mundane.
But seriously, the first time was to play pong? That’s a confession. Shame. Star Wars, the original movie; at a drive-in sounds like a great place to see it. Big screen. BIG.
I love the “Secret Sam” ad. I had a “Secret Sam” (a reward for a good report card); but I don’t remember the camera (maybe I couldn’t afford the film)..
I want to thank everybody for the unexpected birthday greetings on yesterday’s page.
Especially Arfside who told the secret!
And I forgot to even tell you happy half birthday!
Sorry… I meant to say it!
And Nighthawks for posting my special birthday cartoon!
But ALL you guys made my day!
I answered a few posts back there just a little while ago.
I have to leave soon cos I’ve been told that a neighbor has a cake for me… it was supposed to be at 9pm but it’s already after 10 and they’re not ready. It’s ok… It’s just so nice!
You deserve every bit of it, and we all know it. Besides, a half-birthday might mean I can go back, right? StelBel is in our hearts, even if she can’t be adding to Cleo at this time. We all hope she can enjoy this site and all of our crazy humor. May we all give big, sloppy, dog-licks to your cheeks and floppy ears!
.
Dog cats!
Watch out for those claws when you say that!
“Well, dog my cats.” Wasn’t there some character, maybe in a “western-themed” TV show, who used that expression?
I don’t know about a television character, but the character Jim in “Huckleberry Finn” definitely said it:

Jed Clampet?
if I recall , he used to say ” welllllll doggie”
,
Kinda amazing.
Drone portriat? They’re amazing now!
Is this another guess-the-celebrity quiz?
Um… No
What’s your guess then?
Hi… Sorry… I was just looking it up, so I was planning to add to that comment, but I accidentally posted it before it was finished.
It’s a model, not a celebrity… and apparently a demo for a photo filter.
.
Interesting to think what it took to get all the materials together to make this house in the (for instance) 1850’s.
,,
More stupid?
Bingo.
,.
It only jiggles when i’m scrolling.
Or when I shift my eyes.
You always had shifty eyes…or so I’ve heard. {^¿^}
I have that problem too. I hope that if I loose some weight I’ll be able to scroll without jiggling. 😉
…
Who is the guy on the right, and I wish I had his hat! Way classier!
First thought was Marlon Brando, but I’m probably wrong.
You are correct, it is Brando.
Absolutely!
Sinatra, left, and Brando in 1955’s “Guys and Dolls.”
You guys do know it’s Frank Sinatra on the left?
I do now. (admittedly, that was my guess)
Sinatra’s suit moved when i’m scrolling. 😀
Nah, he’s never moved me.
That’s why you can’t wear stripes on TV… especially pin stripes.
Cameras are better than they used to be, but some patterns still cause unwanted effects when filmed.

Thanks!
I want to see the smiling I’ve cream!
The ice cream cone is on the left edge.
Thanks.
I was being facetious cos the description made it sound like the ice cream was smiling.
Probably a memoriam to a Soviet astronaut. Our journey into space was not without all of our brave sacrifices. I raise a glass to them and their adventurism!

Bunnies! No elephants ☺
BUNNY!
I’m going to have to look later…
I see a couple of bunnies but not the elephant yet.
Are we sure he’s here?
For my part, I want to see this artist do one these called “find the bull in the china shop.”
There’s a fun scene in the new “Kung Fu Panda” movie.
Nope. Still don’t see no steenkin’ elephant.
Couldn’t find it online after I gave up.

So never mind.
Nighthawks… I don’t suppose you have the key?
I think i know what it says.
That’s funny!
Two sides of a coin.

Star Wars, the original movie; at a drive-in sounds like a great place to see it. Big screen. BIG.
That Star Destroyer in the beginning was awesome!
…and the MAD parody was even better.
☺ yes, but the Mad Magazine parody of any movie, is always better.
I always had to be careful not to laugh at the scariest scenes… #alien
That entire premise is flawed. “Top” 1950’s sci-fi aliens is an oxymoron.
😀

Please wish us luck – tomorrow we’ll be in court regarding our right to stay where we live.
Luck!
Very best of luck. Show them your fangs and claws.
Good luck!
Retroactively, if this is after it’s over.
