Goldfinch.
Finches of various kinds used to show up at my mother-in-law’s feeders, especially because she bought the high end bird seed they liked.
The gold ones were a treat to see amongst all the “little brown birds”… like tiny movie stars.
But our male goldfinches around here are all-over bright yellow, with black trim. The females are a more faded, light yellowish brown.
I’ve never seen one of these red faced ones.
