It took a little while, but I got all of them, including the one that is a day early for the differences comic. I hope you didn’t get a virus for today. Everything is gone, including the day. What happened?
I’m so sorry guys! all is well now.
everything is as it was. I was making some changes and that wound up disabling
the comments temporarily and the temporary disappearance of today’s whole
page .
It’s as easy as taking candy from a baby.
I’m not certain, but I think I’ve seen this before. Animals are good at this sort of thing. Note that Bugs doesn’t even touch the baby.
Here in Bavaria, it is?/was traditional for butchers to give a thick slice of “Gelbwurst” to toddlers.
That name derives from the yellow plastic casing; formerly (before BSE), that sausage contained brain and was called “Hirnwurst”.
Still fatty – like Bologna (or Lyoner)…
but not as much a tradition of sausage-making as Germany.
In Bavaria, Gelbwurst or even the stuff you call Bologna sausage there, is probably something better than the usual junk we call bologna here…
(sorry bologna lovers.)
…
There are some artisan ones, and of course real mortadella from Italy… the original model for ours…
but most American bologna is the cheapest, most processed, lowest rung on the sausage ladder…
the same as or worse than hot dogs, only wider, and sliced.
…
It’s usually made of mechanically separated bits and trimmings, including organs that they can’t sell any other way, lard, and fillers like powdered milk, and sometimes grains.
Once all pork, but now may include chicken, turkey, beef… or soy…
finely ground, over-salted, pasteurized, pink from preservatives, and deriving 50 to 80% of its calories from fat.
…
I’m a meat eater but I avoid cheap bologna, and don’t like to see little children eating it.
¡Hola, Cleomigas y Cleomigos… pretty much time to post the solution to today’s puzzle…
but before I do, a word about the side by side.
Perhaps you can’t see it, as I can’t right now… but only a slender bar (or box) that says “Comment image”… and it doesn’t slowly reveal itself..
Or it IS visible in the the comments, but you’d like it to be as large as Nighthawks’ vertical post above…
It’s the same solution for both.
…
On GoComics, you could just click on it to open it larger in another window..
but here that only opens it in a special viewing window, at about the same size.
And the magnifier tool there only shows you a small part of the picture, with no way to scroll.
…
Instead, just right-click the image in the comment, or that text bar if you can’t see it… and choose “Open in a new window (or tab)”.
(That’s the Firefox instruction… it might be worded differently in your browser).
…
Most times that will take you straight to a larger image in its own window or tab…. where you can solve it, or save it, or copy and paste it into Paint.
SOME times… and I cannot figure out why or when… it will take you, instead, to the PostImage website…
and you might have to right click again and choose “view image.”
It still only takes seconds… and the panels will be the same size as Nighthawks posts.
OK…..maybe I’m “special” (well, of course I am!), but after clicking on your “spoiler solution”, all I have to do is click on the image again, and it appears on a black background and it’s about (at least) THREE TIMES LARGER!!!!
It opens in the “internal” …. Ie part of WordPress…viewer window. Maybe because I only have a small laptop and a tablet, it’s only about the size I posted.
Right clicking the way I describe opens it in a fresh browser window… Much larger.
…
There also seems to be a weird glitch (on WordPress? I’m shocked!) where occasionally clicking the one in the exposed spoiler section opens a new browser window, instead…
But never the one posted visibly in the comment, like the side by side.
…
Posting in the comments changes the url when you click it to a WordPress one, but right clicking and opening in a new window still goes to the original URL…. In this case Postimage.
Even on my small iPad, when I click on it, it still shows up on a black background at least 3 times larger than the original that you posted in the spoiler. So, it works for me, anyway…….
After you make a comment, wait a couple of minutes and even refresh your page. The Click to Edit options will show up under your comment. (No one else will see this but you.)
Click on it, and one of the options will be that you can delete your entire comment. You can also edit and add to your comment.
It’s one of functions that happens to be easy to use, unlike some others we’ve run into! LOL
That’s an awesome experience to have. They’re cute as a button and the one on the left looks old enough that she may even retain some memories of the holiday.
It took a little while, but I got all of them, including the one that is a day early for the differences comic. I hope you didn’t get a virus for today. Everything is gone, including the day. What happened?
Everything’s OK now. Not to worry. No viruses here.
Earlier today, all comments from current and past strips were gone. Now comments are back but April 2 is missing!
Missing for me also. Only got a quick look at it because I had places to go and things to do, etc.etc. When I came back to it, it was gone.
…
Sorry. All is well now.
Carry on.
Sorry, I changed your(?) emoji. Should have clicked on the gray one beside the original. It turns out the existing ones aren’t additive.
The 2 incidents definitely did happen, but were not related. Everything is back to “normal”.
It’s back!
Yesterday’s page was inaccessible for a couple of hours due to a glitch, but Nighthawks just now fixed it and it’s back! Yayy!
I’m so sorry guys! all is well now.
everything is as it was. I was making some changes and that wound up disabling
the comments temporarily and the temporary disappearance of today’s whole

And we were all like…
You’re wearing a skirt?!? – I don’t judge; just wondering.
I wasn’t expecting all the excitement, or for the puzzle to be posted so early…
I’ll be back soon with the side by side!
Sorry, Cleo pals and puzzle people…
I had several interruptions… so “soon” wasn’t quite as soon as I planned.
But it’s STILL earlier than GoComics start time…
and here I am with your side by side version…
head right over here and solve away!:
*
Got them all pretty fast. Their speed must be contagious.
Muchas gracias.
Got ’em!
7 in the original vertical format + 2 in the side-by-side: Yay, all nine.
a bunny thief!
Like in “The Girl on the Broomstick”?
It’s as easy as taking candy from a baby.
I’m not certain, but I think I’ve seen this before. Animals are good at this sort of thing. Note that Bugs doesn’t even touch the baby.
My dog did it at a garage sale… while on her leash and I thought closely supervised.
I looked away for just a second, and she swiftly grabbed a slice of bologna out of the hands of a tiny toddler who had just raised it to his mouth.
She gobbled it up before I could even react.
…
Luckily he screamed with laughter, and didn’t howl in anguish.
I scolded the dog, and apologised profusely to the Mom..
but she just laughed.. and gave the kid more bologna, which we both had to quickly stop him from handing to my dog.
…
Honestly I don’t think a dog OR a small child should be eating a slice of bologna…
but what can you do.

Processed meats. Awful. Give me good butcher-shop Kielbasa any day.
Well, I just gotta say it:
SOUNDS LIKE A BUNCHA BALONEY TO ME! hahahahahaha
Somebody had to say it! LOL
Hey, ML…..what’s going on with your green to purple user name and “Famed title/trophy” appearance and then, disappearance???
In other words, both your comments are different from each other.
Did you somehow get logged out, and therefore, you’ll have to log in again???

Well – that’s all very nice (I guess?), but I don’t see a solution or link to it – yet?
It’s posted now, a few minutes after your comment.
I did say “before I do, a word about the side by side.”
…
Patience, young grasshopper.
Por favor.
I assumed – like – “in the same comment”…
I’ve evolved:
Thanks, that’s what I do!
SEE MY COMMENT BELOW!
(AN ENLARGED VERSION OF THE SOLUTION IS READILY AVAILABLE FOR ME BY JUST CLICKING ONCE ON THE SOLUTION IMAGE.)
OK, OK… so I’ll post the solution already….
Have you been good?
Have you given it your best shot?
…
You’re only hurting yourself if you peek too early, you know.
Well, that, and Cleo will bite you.
Or maybe Perro will mark you with a “P“.
A “P” for “peeker”.
… when you’re ready….

I wonder how many people might mistake the above screen shot for an actual active comment. Sorry, folks….it does look realistic, doesn’t it?
Good morning, Cleopeeps! Q Date: 386.98853.85 T – 11D 2H 58M

I got them all. WooHoo!
What a fun puzzle.
The WELCOME mat is a nice, homey touch. Really softens Slurez’s image.
