Decades ago, there was a film on that topic. I’ve looked for that ever since.
And now this. THANK YOU!

Makes one feel rather insignificant, eh, in a way?
An amazing view of things…!

Perro’s pummeling of evil is now paused.
It is probably proper to say the pulmonic airstream of Don Doggo (Perro) is pulsating as the puissant vision of Maria Voluptuosa pirouettes before his person.
Will the enjoyment of the pleasant interlude to come be enhanced by the imbibing of pulque (and will Don Doggo continue to be punctilious toward the damsel under its influence)?

It might be difficult to be romantic under the influence of pulgue. I have it on good authority that it tastes like “mare’s sweat”.
Extra geezer points if you recognize THAT reference.

That one references mare’s sweat, but not pulque. I was thinking of the Charles Bronson/Toshiro Mifune “Red Sun”.

Perro isn’t Shakespeare, but a great actor (“only” fooling humans) – and really in love, too!

It was years before I realized the punchline of “Silhouettes” even existed;    I still find it amusing.

Things I have discovered; and my last post for April 5 (Made on April 4).

See the coding in the attachment below.

I’m using the coding in these lines.

The coding works whether you set it up in Wordpad, Notepad or Word.
Just cut and paste it where you want to format your spacing and paste the formatted comment’s raw form between the “open paragraph” “close paragraph” HTML coding brought up by clicking on the
{ } set at the bottom of the “Join the discussion” box.

A three line and twelve space break between “box.” and “A”.

I’m still trying to figure out what that small object is toward the bottom right of the sea painting. Is that some even-more-hapless schnook in a rowboat? A mermaid languishing on a rock spire?

I was mistaken (again,        sigh    I’m having a restless night)
I didn’t notice anything until you mentioned it.
I went looking and found a very much larger version at the U.R.L. below.
It can be magnified twice, and then shifted with the scroll bars. The situation then becomes clear.
Right click and open it in a new window, or you will lose this page.

It’s the guy in 1781 who jumped overboard to save a barrel of Jameson whiskey. It must be true, I saw it in a TV commercial.

I found one with better resolution using various search-engines for images, but the link wouldn’t post properly (monster!) and I didn’t know if such a large image was welcome here.
Therefore, I downloaded and cropped it.

Good morning, Cleomaniacs! Q Date: 388.98859.16 T – 9D 4H 28M

Awww.. What a great ending….or is it? When evil raises its ugly snout in LA, rest assured PERRO will ride again.

Hope everyone found all of their Easter Eggs. If not, you may be able to hire a basset detective to find them…or…. you can wait for a bit and use your own nose.

Y’all have a blessed day. ((((((HUGS)))))

Whoo boy howdy…lots of Nationals today

What a great story, Nighthawks! Every minute was so action packed that I am sorry to see it end! I love that the Senorita was so smart and figured it out. Of course we knew all along. (of course the bad guys never figured it out)

What a great ending! The hero rides off with the fair maiden. Enjoy your ‘vacation’, Perro/Don Diego. Since we all know evil will always arise again, I will look forward to the next adventure.

I hope that boat doesn’t get stranded on a desert island and they have to put up with castaways. Perro might have to go save them.

Montana Lady pointed out that the bad guys never figured it out…

Well… it took me probably half the episodes to realise that all the bad guys were from Spain, and human.

And all the “good guys” … the native Alta Californianos… are basset hounds.

So eventually all the Los Angelenos would have figured it out…

And our Perro would always be safe with them!

But the humans have no nose for catching basset scent…

Much less individual identities.

Very smart, Perro!

Still, now that I know that California was originally populated by basset hounds, I see signs of what might be continuing oppression…

Very few live free… I don’t know what happened in the intervening years since the end of this tale…

But almost all the basset hounds I see are on leashes, under human control.

They don’t look unhappy, though.

I suppose it could be that they simply prefer to live in comfortable human homes, where they are very well fed, and quite pampered
