Oh yeah… I knew it had to happen soon…

Cos it does happen every Spring….

A new bassetball movie, that is —

And a revival of this one, too…. ever since it first came out.

It’s been a while, for me…. but I remember this being a funny one.

Some sort of impossible chemical reaction creates a kind of rubber that’s repelled by wood….

perfect for “hitting” bassetballs amazing distances, of course…

and that turns a nerdy professor into a bassetball star.

Seems like an obvious precursor to the “Flubber” created in a much later Dogsney comedy….

which may have kinda sorta borrowed the idea…

Not that the inventions worked the same way, but the bookish professor invents a super goo that changes the game… and IIRC, helps nerd win fair lady.

Doesn’t Jeanie look adorable in her little blue skirt, and purply eye shadow?

Makes you wonder if it was hard to get the basset boys to chase anything but her when she was on set.

Still … they ARE dogs… and a ball is a magnet for a dog, even a slow-wobbling basset, as long as Jeanie has left the room anyway.

Just imagine humans thinking they should copy a movie where THEY have to chase balls on foot!

All humans know how to do with those balls is hit them with some big sticks, and then wait around for everything to come to them.

Not half the action of a bassetball game.

Why bother?

Stel’s poster is way better than the human one she posted!

@ Everybody

If you follow this     LINK TO TERESA BURRIT’S “FROG BLOG,”     I think you’ll agree with me that artificial intelligence is about as close to real intelligence as a well known margarine brand is to butter.

As a side note,….

@ —    Rotifer MY AVATAR IS BETTY BOOP’S BUTT Thalweg

…..(at least here), is apparently restricting his comic commenting to “Frog Applause.”
