Spent a lot of time under the Boardwalk in NJ summers. But serious privacy was only to be found under the lifeboats.

The spoiler box contains three screen snips of my observations of Yosemite Sam’s hat in the full cartoon “Wild and Woolly Hare”.
In order:
Its shadow as Sam approaches the saloon.
The head on view of it as Sam enters the saloon.
A side view as Sam’s head is turned.
The original shadow doesn’t fit (Monday morning nit-picking)
Below the box is a U.R.L. which leads to a really clear version of the cartoon. The posting company has disabled embedding in all forms.
You’ll have to scroll down to the cartoon and start it.
The resolution is such that you can go full screen without losing any clarity.

We had Mel’s around here through the 1980’s… not where I live now, but I’ve been to them.

There was a big one in San Francisco, where teens gathered, but eventually it became a popular, family sit down restaurant.

and a smaller one in San Rafael that was still the endpoint for cruising on Saturday nights till that was stopped by his police, some time in the 1970’s.

American Graffiti was filmed there.

Car hop service ended more or less with the 70’s, but I remember applying for a job in San Rafael and being told I needed to be able to roller skate carrying a tray on each arm.

Nope.

A     LINK     back to Sunday, January 23 of this year where I posted my mother’s lemon pie recipe. I make it to the recipe and it is good !

And now I’m

¡ ! GONE ! ¡

until Friday.
There’s a bunch of finicky household stuff to do and it’s got to get done; and, as with all finicky stuff, it takes far more time than it should for some reason. To make sure I’m not distracted, I’m leaving the computer alone as it takes more time up than it should.

The ‘elephant ears’ were air guides to keep the smoke out of the engine crew’s eyes.
There are varying opinions around the web as to how effective they were.

I evidently missed how the Batbasset episode ended because all I remember is them entering the room where the evil cats were meeting.

Yay!

Perro is back!

I couldn’t stay up last night… It’s been a busy week.

But now I can settle down with my popcorn and enjoy watching it again.
