I’m open to correction on this one.
As far as I can tell this is a Whippet.
If it is, as a pet he or she would be difficult to keep. Their energy levels border on manic, and they have been known to kill family cats.
Where in the world did you get that “information” about whippets?
My sister had one, and a neighbor was a breeder of them.
While some tend to be a bit high strung, which is to say, jumpy about strange noises and a bit nervous with strangers, and, like cats, given to brief bursts of energy where they like to run madly about the yard, and then collapse, they were otherwise calm, cuddly layabouts.
…
Most sight-hounds, including whippets, greyhounds, deerhounds, Salukis and Afghan hounds, were originally bred to chase game.
Many do like to chase other pets, playfully, but can generally be trained not to do it.
,,,
My sister’s two Rex cats would goad the whippet into chasing them, till they all had to be reprimanded to stop….
But she never came home from work to find damage to any cats or apartment furnishings.
Be very careful.
The “Never” people are watching you now.
Their PUNishments for breaking the rules are PUNctual; you will be PUNitively PUNted into a PUNga; and then where would you be?
Um…. Thanks for the attempted wordplay… but sorry, I don’t understand your comment.
Beyond googling “punga” and finding nothing except Chilean slang for a vulgar person, I don’t know what rules you think I broke, or what you think my puns (elsewhere?) have to do with it.
Neither you nor i made any puns in this conversation.

The “Never” people?
I said I never get to post Devo, not that I never DO… but I don’t think there’s a rule against it.
I usually don’t post them only because I doubt many others here like them, but Liverlips handed me an excuse.

I just learned of an ancient love story. “Daphnis and Chloe.” The synopsis reads like the back of a Harquelin Romance (the corporation is still around as a division of Harper Collins).
From the time of Rome (and more than likely back to earlier civilizations) to today, sappy stories remain sappy stories.
Pete Beard strikes again.
From yesterday.
I did not read the comments at yesterday’s “Birdbrains” until you drew my attention to them.

I too am curious about the size of the originals.

Did someone say “whippet good”?

I love pictures on buildings like this. This one is excellent!

i never would’ve found it!!!
Me either! Still looks like part of the carrot. I was wondering if the ring is 14 carats…or maybe more.
No, it’s only one carrot.
😉
What ring? :/
BUNNIES!
I found it!
I found it in the same place Alexi did.

probably 6 x 8 or 5 x 7.
we framed each one.
Wow, he works small.
Funny how some cartoonists draw their panels greeting card size, and others make them way bigger than you’d think.
I won an original Dan Thompson “Brevity” panel years ago, maybe 16 x 20″.
I hate it when I’m out of whack.
I always run out at the worst times… like Saturday nights, when the Whack Store is gonna be closed till Monday.
…
I won’t be able to have a whackadoodle party on Sunday, or invite my whacko friends.
There’ll be no whack to refill the “Whack-A-Mole”™, either.
All I can do is wait till I’m back in whack.
Can’t make it without ag-“whack”-ah-tez.
Life is tough, you know! Seems like there is always enough ‘wacky’ going around, though, whether you want it or not.
spumoni
yum!!! not too sweet.
now, now Cleo. you know if you give away all your whacks you’ll have nothing left……..
I’m with Cleo! Claude is whacked out ~ no mystery.
Deep thoughts, Claude.
