In answer to a previous question: The rumors of my drowning from Hurricane Hilary have been greatly exaggerated. My weather gauge showed a max of 16.1 mph winds, and 2.72 inches of rain. The barometer actually went up to 30.02 inches of mercury in the morning, before it settled back down to normal. I live on a hillside (yes, in the picture, that’s part of a small zipline that the grandkids enjoy), so I don’t have to worry about storm surge or raging rivers. The 100 foot rope in the picture is there because my hillside runs down at about a 45 degree angle. I use that to clear the slope. 1 hand on the rope, 1 hand to clear the weeds. Otherwise, imagine a cartoon character with their feet spinning in one place as they tried to go up the slope. Good exercise, but it I get a mite tired after awhile.
Great film by Orshound Wells, and excellent copycat by the humans. Considered by many to be one of the best human films of all times. What does that say about the Basset version?

A 45% angle is very steep indeed. Building a house on such a slope must have been a daunting task.
