The attachment comes from HERE I thought the weight might be a misprint, but other equally reliable sources agree. A 3′ (length) × 5′ (wingspan) rectangle is needed to contain the majority of adult fully stretched out boobies.
I’ll grant you that Danny Ingrassia of Palermo, Italy on the island of Sicily is more suited to mid October (is he ever / his take on “The Girl With The Pearl Earring” is off-the-wall / ) but after I went looking you took down “The Bathroom” (must be in translation) and substituted this one. I can find nothing except that it’s supposed to be a “photograph from the 1900’s”.
Thanks, I was watching / listening to the rain-delayed Cardenales (6) / Braves (3) game while doing that research.
The Angels swept the Blue Jays at home earlier (Blue Jays post season play now highly unlikely).
Here is Ingrassia’s take on ‘—Pearl Earring.’
I don’t think you want to see his ‘Mona Lisa.’
I bet you both may have heard of it: ALIEN starring Sigourney Weaver (from ’79). I think there were at least three sequels, so it was quite a successful franchise. Briefly, this movie concerns a scary alien monster that secretly boards a commercial spaceship and terrorizes the crew. It was really hailed as a very well-done sci-fi movie (directed by Ridley Scott) at the time and was quite popular….still is, I think!
Some scenes were quite scary and there was a lot of suspense….definitely a behind-the-back-row kind of movie!
When I left that comment, I wasn’t planning on staying mysterious.
I didn’t say what movie, because so many in this crowd like a little puzzle, and I thought would have seen it.
…
I was going to come back and tell, if nobody else mentioned it….
But alas, the Sandman hit me over the head with a brick…. Okay, maybe it was just a pillow… And I didn’t make it till now.
….
Yeah, it was a behind the couch movie, but i was a little tougher back then.
Besides, I went to see it with friends who liked to laugh at me for being wimpy.
They chose seats right in the middle of the very first row, which was so close to the screen we had to tilt our heads.
Like being on the spacecraft yourself!
…
At first my bravado was fake, but as it wore on, I genuinely didn’t think most of it was scary.
…
One thing that helped me be brave, and afterward became a funny story, was that as the film got underway, a row of young boys started to form in front of us.
Leaving their seats, and presumably their parents, they sat on a row on the floor near our feet.
The one right in front of me looked about five… he couldn’t have been more than seven.
….
He started to get scared, and another boy was teasing him… so I leaned down and said something comforting… I don’t remember what…
And when the startlingly frightening scene happened, he jumped up and sat in my lap!
He ended up staying there for the rest of the movie, and we whispered with each other about everything looking fake….
Everyone has the occasional off day. Unfortunately for Fernando, today is Don Doggo’s.
I’m sure he will be in top form when he meets Insulto Slurez, though.
.
Braver than me!
or me!
Your back yard?
I wish
While looking for where this bridge is, I came across this version of Elvis and “Hound Dog.”
,
A blue footed booby. I can find no photographer to credit. This picture was made into a paint by numbers kit.
Well, it’s blue footed alright, and I guess it looks like a booby.
The attachment comes from HERE I thought the weight might be a misprint, but other equally reliable sources agree. A 3′ (length) × 5′ (wingspan) rectangle is needed to contain the majority of adult fully stretched out boobies.
Three and a quarter pounds and a five foot wingspan.
It’s a wonder that they just don’t float away.
Did someone ask to see a booby?
That’s not blue.
That there is turquoise.
Love that little guy!!

Ripley and Jonesy
It’s been awhile since I saw that movie….
Another one that I was scared to see, and everybody talked about in hushed tones…
But I didn’t find it scary….. Except for that one scene.
I’m not going to say which… cos either you know the one, or I refuse to spoil it.
don’t know this movie.
Me either.
to ML and PC…..

IMDB page: Alien (1979) – IMDb
it is also an Oscar winner: Alien – Awards – IMDb
sequels: ALIENS, ALIEN 3, ALIEN: COVENANT
There was also Prometheus.
Thanks, Stel, and sorry, Perky and Rita…

It kept us both from being scared again.
…
My friends were cracking up.
Here’s a parody of the scary stuff:
I’ve always loved that movie! Thanks for posting that clip!!
I have heard of the movies, but never saw them. But, if I had known there was a cat……….. That’s a cute story about the little boy.
Apparently there were four cats who portrayed Jonesy. Each one was trained for a different action in the film. I couldn’t find any real life names.
..
You smell nice. Which is to say, “ripe.”
“…treat?”
Wow, Cleomigos!
Tomorrow sure comes early to “Cleo and Company”!
I haven’t even thought about Sunday’s dinner, though, granted, I do eat late…
But in here, it’s already Monday….
and we’re already privileged to be back in a secret lair…
at the hacienda, outside the puebla that will become the future Los Angeles.
Where Perro™ rides again…. and it’s only Episode Seven.
…
Well… ok, I speak too soon…. it’s not again, exactly… because he hasn’t really ridden yet… not where we can see it anyway…
and…um…. as a matter of fact, he isn’t …. well…. he’s in the saddle…. but I wouldn’t say he’s actually riding… yet.
If there were only one more panel…. he’d be riding.
I’m sure of it.
But he’s really really close, right?
…
Poor loyal Fernando… the faithful friend…. the patient patsy… will he ever learn?
Uh oh. You know, I think maybe he has learned, and he knows already.
He tries to discourage Perro™, and then you can see the panic in his eyes as awaits the whip.
…
But when you’re the trusted pal and confidante of the man who’s about to lead the uprising….
a man who will one day soon be very powerful….
who is skilled with the sword, and … well… almost-but-not-quite proficient with the whip….
or at least, he HAS one, right there in his hand….
I mean…. what can you do?
…
Fernando is in a very special position.
I mean, besides being flat on his back on the floor.
Everyone has the occasional off day. Unfortunately for Fernando, today is Don Doggo’s.
I’m sure he will be in top form when he meets Insulto Slurez, though.
poor fernando! he trusted perro, and what does he get? a crack from the whip! but, at least perro’s cigar is still lit!
Poor Fernando. That’s gotta hoit.
I dig the Spinners. 🙂
See? In the last panel? Shrubbery! Open cave.

Good morning Perro phans!
Getting my stuff squared away. Been putting it off way too long. Nothing pressing but it just needs to be done. I have way too much stuff.
Y’all have a great Monday. (((((HuGz!)))))
I’m with you on the last sentence of your first paragraph. I’m working myself up to get rid of the but-I-may-NEED-that-someday stuff.
Yeah, right.
Glad to see you! I was starting to worry and was going to ask today if anyone had heard from you.
Thanks. Just me. I’m gonna try and put out a quick howdy every day or two just to let y’all know I’m still here.
