I gift to you, readers of “Cleo and Company” (and creators too), a very deep thought (my 42nd of the year) that sprang into my mind while looking at an A & W sign promoting “plant based” something or other.
Every food we humans eat, including everything from either kind of water and plants themselves, is ultimately plant based. Think about it.
You’re welcome.
MISS T.
It’s a very odd thing—
As odd as can be—
That whatever Miss T. eats
Turns into Miss T.;
Porridge and apples,
Mince muffins and mutton
Jam, junket, jumbles—
Not a rap, not a button
It matters; the moment
They’re out of her plate,
Though shared by Miss Butcher
And sour Mr. Bate;
Tiny and cheerful,
And neat as can be,
Whatever Miss T. eats
Turns into Miss T.
From yesterday.
I watched the chop suey video and like you, I liked the details on slicing the vegetables; I learned a new way to mince garlic.
The bit about the use of a wok on a stove burner was interesting too, I don’t own one, but it would never have occurred to me that the whole wok should be the same temperature to cook the contents properly.
Mark’s use of “low sodium” broth goes against my grain. I don’t use “diet” anything because usually that stuff is about as flavourful as cardboard.
I’ve never had oyster sauce that I know of, I have eaten in a fair number of Chinese restaurants, but oysters and clams are simply not on my food menu so I’ve never bought any for my kitchen.
I’m going to have to buy some chow mein noodles again I haven’t bought any for years now; I eat them cooked or dry when I have them.
Thanks for that.
It would be kind of nice if libraries served food. But….they always worry about their books getting messy. I’m sure we would all be neat and careful. Right??
..
Gee, that’s a beautiful car. /s
What, you don’t like “Baby Sh*t” yellow?
now i know why i’ve never liked ‘yellow’!
the car’s not bad, though. especially the teal color.
Notice the lack of side view mirrors. It’s almost like somebody stole them or something.
good one you old scalawag
“Amber”.
Here’s a site listing…
…1950 production figures and specifications.
plank down only $1500 and drive your new Studebaker (with the mirrors
stolen off them) off the showroom floor.
Malcome T Liepke
Only her hairdresser knows for sure.
What if Claude had asked for an Agatha Christie book, and asked her to supersize it.
You get “Death on the Nile”?
lol…..
sounds like a legitimate request in a library—large print books
Those are some nice moments in sports.
They must have a mold-problem.
Good morning Balladeers, (((((Plods))))) and Miss Susan.

I don’t even know for sure that there are oysters in oyster sauce. Anyway it’s a good change from soy sauce once in a while.
There is – in the good brands’ ones anyways.
And it keeps indefinitely.
Happy Birthday, BTW!
nighthawks….. how do you ever come up with these cartoons? claude is positively hysterical today!
They have cookies? Who knew? I’m in. Claude would gladly pay you Tuesday…
Good morning, Cleoites.
Y’all know how I feel about the beach. If any haven’t been privy to my rant, say the word and I’ll put it up here.
Keep your powder dry. (((((HuGz!)))))
I’m with you! If there are cookies, I’m in, too!
also toasted marshmallow day
Love the cockroaches on the right-hand marshmallow…
uh….more like maggots.
Stephen King once made a point about contrast
saying ‘ it stood out like a roach on a wedding cake.’
Nah, maggots are white, cockroaches are brown…

Laminating the pages would be very expensive.
you could always laminate the fingers
Or the food…
