Given the year I was born, 1951, I have always been hounded by Dennis the Menace. In recent years it has dropped of, but not with you, JP! Oh well, I guess I can live with it a bit longer.
OMB, Stel – Susan set you up to this, didn’t she? I cannot remember revealing my birthday – maybe I drunk-posted! Anyway those are some splendid cards and videos, thank you very much.
Happy Birthday Dennis, sorry I’m late to the party. But seeing as you were so discourteous as to be born on my anniversary, you’re lucky I showed up at all. (or maybe not so lucky, I didn’t get you a present).
[this is a larger version of the Seattle card at the top of the page, but the glitter wouldn’t work when I tried to post it up there, so I had to go with the smaller one.]
Come to think of it, I’ll probably be in Seattle sometime next June-ish. I’ve got a conference coming up in Portland (postponed from last year) and we’re planning to travel the Northwest for a few days on either side. Definitely heading to Seattle to visit a nephew and family. Bear in mind that I’m a public garden and library aficionado, what might you recommend?
And please keep leading the way. I’m 2 years behind you.
Close enough!
Love that…
And the announcement!
Happy birthday, Dennis!

Getting dizzy. Give me a knife to stab that cake!

Of course I did!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DENNIS!

Saaay….
Does that mean you don’t remember your cake from last year?
That’s great… Cos you’re about to see it aga.i….
um… I mean… I uh… coincidentally…. made you one almost exactly like it…. for this year…
Isn’t that amazing?
You’re welcome….and wishing you many more!
Happy Birthday Dennis, sorry I’m late to the party. But seeing as you were so discourteous as to be born on my anniversary, you’re lucky I showed up at all. (or maybe not so lucky, I didn’t get you a present).
Hope your day was GREAT!.
Happy Anniversary P51!
Hoppy, hoppy, happy Birthday!
From all of me and the animals!
I know. I need to make a new card. 🙂
One of these days.
Thanks Happy Hoppy Hippy!
Hey DennisInSeattle, Happy Birthday! Here’s a song from Pete Seeger that might ring true with a few of us.
I gotta put a like to that one.
I’m not sure I want to “like” that one, cute as it is. I am still in denial.
Last photo: Just look at all those cakes and not a roach among them.
A little something I made just for you, Dennis…
It’s my not-yet-famous Chocolate Mud Cake…birthday version….
Hope you dig it!

Everybody… Dennis gets the first piece…. then you’re all welcome to dig in!
Is that a worm over in the sluice box? I may think twice before I dig in.
Just a gummy worm…
Don’t worry.
…
And sorry, JP Steve, if you see this.
Looks good to me — I minored in archaeology…
I just meant I’m sorry it’s not a real worm.
Works for me! I minored in archaeology/paleoanthropology
I like the chocolate part. Not sure about the mud. That is a figure of speech, right?
“Mud Cake” means it’s from a special recipe…. It’s extra rich, moist, and chocolatey.
It’s also sturdy, rather than crumbly… so it holds up well to excavation.
My memory has “got up and went”♪ ♫ ♪! I don’t remember that cake, but it’s quite well done (as all your cakes are!!) and clever! Good job!
Happy Day, Dennis. Keep ’em coming.
Thanks Liver!
The Swedish Chef is just brilliant.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Have a great day!

With all the sweet cakes showing up, I thought I’d regale you with a traditional breakfast feast, Dennis. (just pretend these are kielbasi links)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my Friend. Do something wild and crazy today!
Yum! Can’t wait for breakfast!
Breakfast looks GREAT!! Love the heart-shaped eggs!
This must have been a piece of cake to make….

Very cool!
you’d never suspect that! great.

Nice!
Happy Birthday DENNIS!!!
Thanks, MCTS! Good to see you here!
Sorry I’m late – it took me a while to make and transport that cake…
…and no mud, but some Surf and Turf from the restaurant there:
Mmm, love the morels and chanterelles with that steak!
It looks pretty tricky to carry…! I would guess you’d have to dismantle it, then re-construct it, but it is well done!
Unlike the steak… and thank Dog for that!
Getting a cake like that all the way from Munchen has got to be a challenge! Thanks Tigressy!
Happy Birthday again! – I’ll hit 60 this year…
Still just a baby. 🙂
Sorry I’m late to the party. I’m not a night owl and never have been. But my wish is sincere.
Happy Birthday, Dennis!
Not late at all, I am reading this at noon on my birthday. Thank you Dorothea!

Nighthawks: …..and, you said that I posted a creepy picture (the hand) the other day! Geeeez…..this is AWFUL! (but whoever made it was an artist!)
So that’s what cockroaches are made of! Thanks Nighthawks, I will never stomp one again, I will just catch it and chew it up.
I just hate it when , after popping them in my mouth, they skittle around
and over my tongue trying to escape
Nope. Not creepy at all !!!
Nope. I prefer my cat to deal with the bugs.
Good morning Balladeers, (((((Plods))))) and Miss Susan.
