Santa’s Checkride
Santa Claus, like all pilots, gets a yearly visit from the Federal Aviation Administration, and it was shortly before this Christmas when the FAA examiner arrived.
In preparation, Santa had the elves wash the sled and bathe all the reindeer. Santa got his logbook out and made sure all his paperwork was in order.
The examiner walked slowly around the sled. He check the reindeer harnesses, the landing gear, and Rudolf’s nose. He painstakingly reviewed Santa’s weight and balance calculations for sled’s enormous payload.
Finally, they were ready for the checkride. Santa got in and fastened his seatbelt and shoulder harness and checked the compass. Then the examiner hopped in carrying, to Santa’s surprise, a shotgun.
“What’s that for?” asked Santa incredulously.
The examiner winked and said, “I’m not supposed to tell you this, but you’re gonna lose an engine on takeoff.”
this has been our all time favorite Christmas movie!!! we’d wait till all 4 kiddies were asleep, then turn on the tv, and start wrapping the Santa’s presents. so, it has been our tradition to watch ”White Christmas” each Christmas Eve ever since.

A favorite movie and song. (Even though I am never dreaming of a white Christmas ~ I got one. A good 6 inches on the ground now with more coming Christmas Eve and Christmas day.) Love Snoopy on ice!
It really does not get more classic than White Christmas. Great cast, great voices. “Fun for the whole family,” to coin a phrase.
Last few years of her life, that was moms favorite movie.
It’s one of the few she went to the video store to buy.
I’ve still got it. 🙂
Nice waltz jump Snoopy. Worth maybe half a point in competition, but very satisfying.

we, too have a bunch of snow on the ground. and we got about 2 inches yesterday. oh joy.
