I can remember thinking it was fun… even the time the wind made the drifts in our yard as tall as my 7-or-8-year-old self. (My Dad didn’t find shoveling the walkway or the driveway fun).

Nowadays I look at pictures and wonder what I was thinking. But maybe you get used to it. Or maybe kids are weird.

I remember tubing down the hills as quite fun. No way i could do that now.

Did that when I was 60…had family visiting from Florida. (Nothing is quite as much fun as firing off snowballs at a Florida State Trooper!)

Um, Cleo … … … dear. Don’t look now, but I think your lander just left without you.

Cleo…. what are you doing out there?
That looks like Jupiter behind you.

If you’re on one of its moons, and need rescuing, I hope you know which one, cos there are, like, about a hundred of them.

Or … wait… is this all fake? Cos you’re not wearing a space suit.

Then again, you’re… you know…. a cartoon.

Maybe cartoon bassets don’t need space suits.

Nighthawks??

It’s interesting, cos you’d think they remove one and replace it.

But I once had to go to a “kidney class”, cos of some test results (it turned out that I was actually doing okay), and they explained a lot of stuff.

One thing was, at that time, anyway, maybe 15 years ago, they didn’t do a lot of individual assessment of your kidneys.

They measured the total function, ie. you have 65% or 80% kidney function, based on how well they filter, and unless there was something obvious, like cancer in one, it didn’t matter what percentage of the work was done by each kidney.

They could both be working at the same level, or one could be doing almost of it, your score would be the same. If you have below a certain percentage, you have kidney disease, even lower, you need dialysis.

So maybe they don’t take one out cos it still contributes a little, or even cos sometimes they’re not absolutely sure which is better.

It bleeds a lot and isn’t necessary to remove it (unless there’s cancer).

I like the plan. It doesn’t bog you down with a lot of detail.

Heh…I had to draw up floor plans for the manufacturing facility where I worked…with large red arrows for emergency evacuation and meet-up locations. It was never this simple…

Yes… And he was one of the stars of this movie, which was Cover Girl, from 1944.

We had this picture before, and I found a description with the names of everyone in it, but some reason, it’s not coming up this time.

I can’t identify the man in the center, or recognize him from the cast list, even though I know that face…. which is why I didn’t post it earlier… It was driving me nuts.

I also don’t know the fellow standing in back, but he doesn’t look familiar..

The rest are…
Rita Hayworth, Gene Kelly, Phil Silvers, and Jinx Falkenburg, with Eve Arden standing behind them.

My husband spotted one (Kingfisher) in the Botanical Garden Munich yesterday.
They are quite common in the neighboring Nymphenburger Park.

Kingfishers are common here.
The harbor in Depoe Bay usually has multiple nesting sites every year.
Love em. Neat birds. 🙂

I remember the carolers animation! Now that I’ve gotten to know Cleo better, I loved it even more the second time.
