He doesn’t look much like a “Carol” to me…

Then again, it was once a masculine name.

I haven’t seen this commercial before at all, but, it did bring – and has brought – tears to my eyes. A Beautifully presented Message of Love and of Hope of, and for, the Future. Thanks Stel!

He was an absolute master, brilliant at skewering the pomposity of classical music & musicians.

I hadn’t seen either one of those. The cat and dog one was very cute and creative. I liked it best. No apologies necessary ~ both worth the watch.

Assuming that is a real snow globe, wind-up or battery powered, it is a very sweet little display.

A Christmas Cleo is very well done and much more likeable than the other one. Seven roles ~ that must have been exhausting for poor Cleo. I do see a Tin Globe in her future, though.

I’d be lying if I said my mind didn’t drift to the 1971 Traffic version….

Or that I couldn’t live without half the length of the intro (sorry)…

But it’s great to see that Steve Winwood still has that amazing voice and talent, at 74.

As long as it’s not Martin Short as Scrooge and Steve Martin as Ghost of Christmas Present throwing gold coins out the window…

Cleo’s quick and frequent costume changes must be nearly as exhausting as those of the Doggettes.

Wow… the Himalayan Herald has it right!

This film really is a tour-de-force by Cleo!

We don’t see her in as many roles any more, now that Cleo and Company Studios also works with the biggest names in canine show business,

and she can afford to spend more time with her family and her beloved weaponry.
(a mixed blessing, to be sure.)

This film was made near the beginning, not only of her acting career…. but of the studio.

It’s true that her multiple roles made it easier on the fledgling production company,
but it wasn’t just the cost….

We’re so used to the idea that she can handle all types of starring roles…

But at that time, she was still proving herself, and her versatility as an actress… or should I say “actor,” in her mostly male roles in this film,

while the Studio was proving its viability as a hit maker, and its power to attract all those established Howlywood screenwriters, directors and stars.

And a fine job this movie did!

It was so well received, it was soon copied, of course, by humans.

Though I can’t tell from the barebones version of the poster Stel posted,
whether that “Carrey” fellow also performed multiple roles.

But whoever designed it even tried to copy Stel’s virtuoso work with her special, self-designed flame tool… but of course, lacking her finesse.

In fact, I was worried, the first time I saw Cleo’s poster,

thinking they’d had that poor puppy in the bottom corner dress up as a candle, and stand there in some sort of headpiece with actual flames on it!

Then StelBel told me it was just a drawing.

Whew!

This just a beautiful “poster in progress.” I love the imagery because it is so eye-catching.
