Robert Mitchum, Paul Newman, Rod Steiger {recognize, forehead slap when someone ID’s}, Cary Grant, Lee Marvin Charles Bronson, Dick Van Dyke, Yul Brynner
Oh gosh…. I hate to seem to be condoning this gift, but it was my duty to solve this puzzle.
I was kind of hoping one of the differences in panel 2 was Cleo getting…. oh, I dunno… maybe a nice dolly? A tea set? A nice new leash? … instead of a giant missile….. but no, not from the indulgent Claude and Clara.
So solve it I did… Crossing my fingers 🤞 that l it doesn’t actually help make it easier for our wayward basset heroine to obtain any weapons of mass destruction.
9 differences between panels and one difference in Cleo: Her right fore-paw has 5 “fingers” and her left has only 4. This isn’t a spoiler, because it’s the same in both panels.

Who goes there?

,
Gotta go!!
Dorothy doesn’t live here anymore.

That man earned a medal. I doubt he got one.
No, he probably was rewarded with another day just like it.
Or a month of them.
And if he loved his job, he was able to bring just about as much enjoyment and happiness to the season as anyone except Santa!
plus a bi-weekly paycheck

Where’s the dinosaur?

Final inspection.

More acting chops! L-R, from the top:

Hope we’re not making fun of her!
no—it’s just joy we see here—and given the fact that she’s on oxygen, a few bits of joy would have to be a lovely thing for her and those around her
Looks like joy to me. 🙂

Classic, lovely setting, but one question.
Why would a family of bassets have a portrait of a sheepdog hanging on the mantelpiece?
Target practice.
Obviiously–He was the black sheepdog of the family…
But … … … but … … … where’s the flame-thrower equipped drone she wanted?
Well…. As far as I can tell, she hasn’t opened all her packages.
Finally found what I believe to be all nine but I would be ashamed to tell you how long it took me. I overlooked easy ones time and again.
Same to you.
ah, the shortest day of the year.
is it tomorrow yet?
Where i’m at it’s still yesterday, at 6;50.
…and i got rain…
Snow last night and into today. A very pretty 3″-4″. Easy enough to shovel but still likely enough to ski as well (we’ll see tomorrow).
Thank you, HAPPY YULETUDE

If you’d like to compare your finds with mine….
Yeah!
Score!

Eight…
Got all 9 (I think) – missed an easy one around our local Solstice but got it now!
Now to Susan’s solution.
