Yeaaayyy ! ! ! The days are starting to get l-o-n-g-e-r now Winter solstice occurred today at 10:03 a.m. EST (1503 GMT).
The earliest sunset is a couple of weeks before the solstice… I always celebrate that.
Unless you have the time to the precise second, which I don’t, there’s about a 5-day stretch in early December to choose from in your latitude.
The sunrise is still getting later… That’s why it’s not the solstice till now…. and the latest one is in early January.
But late sunrises don’t bother me cos I’m sleeping… and we’re talking about a few minutes difference for all these dates anyway.
