Buying a kit one time, the clerk at the dime store, seeing the three of us shopping, asked me whether I thought my brother was old enough to put it together.
We were probably 9 and 6, but I was very tall and my brother very small (only in childhood.)
I said it was for me… took me days to figure out why he looked so surprised, and to feel insulted.
Interesting.
As a side note, from the first time I saw a tank, I knew I only wanted to ride in one for fun, not business.

Who says dogs don’t know the meaning of smiles?
“Hi! My name is Jack. I’ll be your puppy for the evening…”
..
These look like Santas from different Coca Cola ads over the years.
I wish this sheet had perforations between the images so i could use them as stickers.
Oh… wait.. that might leave little square holes in my tablet screen.
I guess that wouldn’t be good.
be careful to not to waste your wishes—what if u only have two more?
All the Coke Santas were painted by Haddon Sundblom…
I’m not sure whether any of these are his… could be, but I think they’re always holding a Coke.
OTOH I’m pretty sure at least one is a Rockwell… the one sleeping in his chair. Maybe others too. Some are definitely not.
It seems these are by various artists…
I just googled it but all I found was that it’s being sold as a sheet of images to use for decoupage.
I wonder how they can sell them without artist credit or acknowledgement.
I thought it took longer than that for copyrights to expire.

Looks okay to me. (My dad had a set of Kodak oil paints he used to hand-tint photos from the 40’s and 50’s.)
What are they all looking up at?
The photographer standing on a ladder?

Gahan Wison.
Thank you Playboy for introducing me to Mr. Wilson.
Loved Gahan Wilson cartoons.
Yep… Nothing says happy holidays like a Gahan Wilson Santa.
Unless maybe Charles Addams did one too.

Looked about the same in the 1970’s. Still a narrow little gap to build a town in…
seeing the ‘dentist’ sign makes me cringe as to the dental technology available back in th 19th century—doorknobs and strings
A LINK to the University of Nebraska’s “College of Dentistry Museum.”
My childhood dentist attacked me once with one of those rope-and-pully drills. Set up so much vibration in my head I kept passing out!

Why is that so funny?! Laughing my ass off here!
Watch “Rare Exports” from 2010…
Macabre, or graveyard humor. You know it’s in poor taste, but it’s done so well it catches you from the side.
As I said…

“Assembly”?
It’s a “Build-A-Memorial” kit from Revell?
Ah, Revell model kits I assembled MANY model kits back in the day—-then there was ‘The Lindbergh Line’
I made some too.

My weakness were the Airfix kits they sold in plastic bags. You could see all the parts inside — begging to be assembled…
Legoยฎ
Yeah! The American Monumentsยฎ Series, no doubt.
Contains 54 columns and a selection of Greco-Roman frieze tiles.
Ooh… I love Legos.
I have to keep mine hidden away.

Beat me to it!
Speaking of poorly designed puzzles (58 seconds, but if you want to see how poorly designed watch it all)โฆ.
A new high in “dumb”
Because the last fellow looks younger than the others we can draw a conclusion?
That kid has an Apple laptop and a down jacket.
Why would we assume he’s a student?
He could be a tech billionaire.
If he IS a student, and his parents are feeding him, as stated, he probably doesn’t have to pay for rent or food.
He might have a good part time job and far more disposable income than, say, the retired man in the worn suit. Or me.
Made my head hurt, Alexi…

Spoiled? Me?
That’s great! ๐
My dog (who’s in my avatar) does that to me constantly. I pretend to be upset, but she knows I’m not serious so she ignores me.
Interesting.

I watch any of his pieces that comes up. He does good work.
“Little GTO” was on my playlist when I had my Pontiac Sunfire!
So, is Cleo’s stocking sized to fit her ear??? Might be too small.
Long nap – Cleo forgot to put up and light the fourth candle.

Little House on the Prairie?
Apparently a school bus in Eastport, Maine.
Newberry’s was a chain, but they did have at least one location in Maine.
School bus?
Maybe school is ON the bus!
Going to be away for the rest of the week. Merry Christmas all. Stay well and keep happy. That goes double for you, Happy(3).
Safe journeys, and joy at the end.
Thank you! ๐
Merry Christmas… and happy trails!
