“(sigh) I assume you will doubt the moon-landing, too.”
All six moon landings happened. I’ve put videos from Apollo missions 11, 14, 15, 16, and 17 below. I could not find any I liked for mission 12, its camera was pointed at the sun by accident, and it burned out. Mission 13, of course, was unable to land.
The attachment is a list of human landings on the moon, it comes from: HERE
I personally missed Apollo 11 because I was working that night….I missed Apollo 12 because the tv transmission broke, I missed Apollo 13 because it never landed…..
FINALLY I was able to witness a moon landing (and excursion) when Apollo 14 touched down in February , 1971

The poster of Flashbasset is super cute! The expression on her face is priceless!
I’ve never seen the movie, but from the synopsis, and listings of the doubles who did most of Jennifer Beals’ dancing for her, I’m guessing Jumbo Red as Grunt was one of the more talented members of the cast.

The number one song on Friday, April 15, 1983 when the human version of “Flashbasset,” renamed “Flashdance,” was released.
Barbie Flashdance is the great Christmas present that wasn’t!
I was a big fan of Flashdance when it first came out, and not for the reasons you would attribute to me. The dance was good and the story was compelling.
But I have to admit the gorilla audition is pretty good.
As the caption to the picture above the attachment is still relevant to the picture in the attachment, I added it to the screen snip.
The attachment comes from HERE. The source, in full, may not appeal to all audiences (it is a well written article — no George Carlin — , but it’s not shy, either).
There are original cartoons of Lilli, more pictures of the Lilli doll and, naturally, the picture of Ruth Handler I cut.
Ooooh … “Flashbasset”… the film that not only rocked the world with earworms, but started a huge fashion trend, all by itself.
Jennifer Basset was gorgeous… while only 2 1/2 in dog years (the equivalent of 19 in human years), and not a professional dancer, she learned to move like one, and to do some of the dancing herself.
She didn’t need to sing, as it wasn’t a singing role.
…
Her look… her clothing, her walk, her hair… were suddenly copied in every mall, worn by every teenage girl, and made their way into adult fashion.
On a whim, she tore a large hole in the sweatshirt she wore, because the neck was too tight for her dance moves, and that, along with her droopy legwarmers, started a fashion revolution.
She won a Mixed Breed Essence Award and was nominated for a Golden Ball Award for her performance
….
The look of the film itself also changed a decade of movie styling… the quick cuts, the music video look of the dance scenes…
Along with the charisma of the leads, and style over realism in some of the photography, it all led to the look of some 80’s and even 90’s classics.
…
As a side note, after a couple of decades of selling and wearing vintage fashion, and becoming a hairstylist, I was gently reminded of my own approaching middle age by some teenage girls,
when in 1995, I heard them mocking the look of someone I thought was rather fashionable… (not that I dressed like her)…
Saying she was still “stuck in the 80’s” in her “Bassetdance” sweaters and big socks.
…
That’s when I realised that 90’s clothes had changed, and left me behind, for the first time, unaware of the trends…
Even though I HAD to keep up with haircuts, professionally.
A “North American Meat Institute” video. This does contain video of pig carcasses, but it’s also got
lots of pictures of fun machines doing the jobs
they were designed for, manufacturing — — ●

But don’t pick it up if it has blue rings with the spots.
I’m not likely to even see it without my glasses on! They’re cute, but I would leave them alone.
That guy is about to suck that whole person in, starting at the finger.
Made me laugh out loud in the middle of the night.
sounds like a cool horror film
Cool! A comedy! I won’t have to hide behind the couch.
If he’s “larger than life”…. “life” must be pretty darn tiny!
I’m afraid his “threat displays” would be met by “Awwww”
Yikes! How tall are their dancers??!
normal height; they just have big feet
That was their previous star. She left some big shoes to fill.

How demure Jennifer Basset is! What beautiful pur…lie nails and eye shadow she is wearing. Golly.
Well, the last of our families have flown safely home today. The house sure is empty and quiet. Sigh! We miss them all!
Now have a good night’s sleep!
I did! I got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Yahoo!
Couldn’t you just quietly steal one…. maybe a smallish grandkid… and hide it in a bedroom till they’re gone?
They’d never miss it, right?
Right! The littlest one is 2 1/2 and is a cutie.

Cleo, we know that is you, with all the purplie bits! You are a teaser biyatch.

This was not one of Mattel’s better ideas either.
I have one of those… totally weird.
I dunno… Christmas present to grown men, maybe…
not so sure about teen girls.
Her wrists are taped to her legs…. she’s also in foot restraints…
and seems to be… um… let’s just say having a… “Basic Instinct” moment, ala Sharon Stone.
…
Maybe appropriate, considering that Barbie was originally coppied from a German doll sold in porn shops!
No. Not in porn shops.

My first ex wife was a dead ringer for Jennifer Beals.
