I treated it as a perception test and got six. Treating it as an investigative problem (loading it into Gimp), I get 7. The bright one in the upper left corner is unique.
Called the rainbow lobster or the Australian rock lobster, it’s found in the waters around and between Australia and Indonesia, and in South East Asia.
It’s what’s called a spiny lobster, not really related to the “true lobster”… But also edible.
Spiny lobsters have fewer and smaller claws, among other differences.
They’re not always quite so colorful… It seems that one, above, would be a a rather rare example… but they’re much more colorful than most other kinds of lobsters anyway.
When I only saw the top photo, I was asking WTH is that? I thought we were sure to have a screaming baby in a moment.
That pooch must suffer dreadfully in the summer.
The jury is still out on the screaming baby. Probably depends on whether or not they have already been introduced.
I think you’ll like this (the music is the opening 22 seconds of Rick Nelson’s “Travelin’ Man” and it makes no sense whatever, but the video’s outcome is fun).
Sorry Cleo Pals… I did some running around today and got really tired…. A little while ago i was trying once again to get the PostImage site to work, so I could upload my puzzle solution …
I’m a bit puzzled myself about what happened next, cos here it is about 2 hours later. Oops.
The site still doesn’t work, but as you all know, our Perroโข adventure has appeared previously…
Not surprisingly, so has this puzzle.
I did solve it again, but can’t post the solution, so I give you tonight the differences i found back then.
Someone! (Mentioning no names, but I’m looking at you Nighthawks!!) is going to be mailed the contents of Ivy’s litterbox for those two differences!!!!!
Iโll help too, MCTS, Iโve got three boys who are mighty fine producers…
Whatโs the address to send to? Iโve gotta send it by courier, Canada Post still on strike…
Like you, I’m finding Post Image to be not working.
Someone (or some someones) reported it for phishing (the education systems in both our countries these days) and when I ignored that and continued I received a 403 error which means Post Image refused to process my request.
All is not lost, however, just go to this ‘THE U.S. SUN’ SITE and scroll down about halfway.
The official solution agrees with the description you posted yesterday.
P,S.
You have my official permission to also like the postiing I drew to happyยณ’s ๐ attention ๐ .

Could use that for a mortician’s card too…RIP!
Eww.
Hi Susansunshine. Glad to see you’re still around. I’ve returned to GoComics after a 5 year absence.
Hey 6!
I’ve not been on GoComics myself for at least a couple of years. I keep thinking I’ll go back, but then i don’t.
If you return, please read the last third or so of yesterday’s comments, for some sad news you might want to know.
Hi!
A tip o’ the cap to whoever thought it up. Very clever.
Very clever… And you get two for one!
…
I see 6
at least one more
I also see six… but the eye isn’t good at this.
If I had a computer at present, I could check the actual RGB values instead of relying on eyesight.
It’s also true that color reproduction isn’t perfect on these pages, or on some devices.
I know they say “millions of colors” but that doesn’t mean every way you view them displays them all.
Especially if the resolution limits the number of pixels, or they’ve been reproduced as a jpg, or worse, a gif, which has a very limited palette.
Those methods all combine groups of pixels with “similar” colors.
Only .bmp and .tiff and a few others show every one, but the files are too big for most web usage.
You can’t undo the loss of pixels even if you change back to another format.
I treated it as a perception test and got six. Treating it as an investigative problem (loading it into Gimp), I get 7. The bright one in the upper left corner is unique.
Same.
Six here too

Did they put a spire on it so i=t could v=be a steeplechase?
festive lobster
Nope. Not with out a box of paints!
Rock, lobster.
Lobster, rock.
Lobster rock… Is that what they play at clubs on SpongeBob SquarePants?
Must be a Hindu lobster who just got married.
Supposedly real…

Here’s another….
I thought it was hand-painted…it’s possible ,of course, that the image could have been enhanced
I’m thinking the saturation is turned up, for one thing.
I don’t think it’s been enhanced a bunch. I seem to remember seeing that in a national geographic some time ago. I was amazed then too.
,,,.
Must be real — they didn’t have AI back then!
Love your logic.
I was going to say that it looks like classic old New England. Then I saw they were driving on the left. So, classic old Old England.
could have been flipped horizontally
That’s what I was going to say.
It’s very common.

I’m not going to brush it, you brush it!
LOL! Love the “eyeball!”
They’re letting that … thing… watch the baby!
More like “It”. “Thing” was just a hand.

A poltergeist?
I know; blame it on the dog!
Only seven tonight.
Same here.
Seven is what I’m guessing a lot of people will get, because I thought one difference was rather unexpected and another quite subtle.
But what do I know… Maybe you found those two, and missed two others.
IMHO, it was still harder than some of the other puzzles.
Better than me. Six.
Must be the magic number, 7 for me too.
Now I donโt feel so bad, stuck at 7 also. This one is more difficult than the norm.
I think you’ll like this (the music is the opening 22 seconds of Rick Nelson’s “Travelin’ Man” and it makes no sense whatever, but the video’s outcome is fun).
Can I like it too?
Yes i did!

if postimage is no more, are you aware of an alternative out there?
For me just a phishing-warning popped up. Clicking to ignore that brought me to the usual site.
Yes, we can also get to the “usual site.”
But then did you try uploading an image?
That’s an essential part of checking whether it works…
It didn’t for me, or for Nighthawks…
and in Alexi’s post, he says “when I ignored that and continued I received a 403 error which means Post Image refused to process my request.”
It would be good to know whether it works from Germany but not here.
Never mind… It’s back!
Still would be interesting if it had worked last night or in your morning…
But trying it now won’t prove anything.
Thanks for the permission ๐
Grrr!!!
Hey, don’t growl at me!
I didn’t make it, I just had to try to solve it
And I did it… for you guys.
I’m (sniffle) a victim too!๐ฅบ
I’m not growling at you! I know you wouldn’t subject us to such abuse.
(Oh, my poor eyes!)
๐
It’s back!
PostImage is BACK!
YAY!
Just as a test….
Wellll… okay. Thats what i was looking at. Looks more like a fire truck colored in.
