Wow, in Germany the tooth fairy might leave this?!!

In the U.S., kids might get a dollar these days…

But when I was a kid we got a dime!

Of course they can’t talk!

Let them out!

I don’t know DuPont’s weird definition of “fresh” …

but mine, and hopefully most people’s, includes “still alive”, if they started out that way….

A cellophane wrap seems kinda the wrong direction to go with that.

Is this the new “robot server” I’ve read about?

Looks like it’s going to be carrying several orders at once, to different tables.

How does it know you took the right thing off its shelves?

At the Costco Food Court nowadays you order from a “kiosk”, which is really just a computer touchscreen and a bank card reader.

If I eat there it’s usually the $1.50 hot dog and soda, but the other night I splurged and got a chicken Caesar salad.

You wait for the number on your receipt to be called, and then go to the counter and pick up your food.

I waited and waited.. other people came and went. In the whole time I only saw one salad come out and be served.

The young woman who picked it up turned around and waved it toward her male companion, as if to show him.

After a while I went to the counter and got someone’s attention. She looked at my receipt and said “I already served that number!”

My salad was stolen!

That young woman was showing her companion her prize!

Of course, this being Costco she just said “I’ll get you another one.”

Not sure what a McDonald’s robot would say.

Here’s a video of it in action. It’s in Fort Worth, Texas.
The captions are sufficient, so I turned of the music.

That’s awful! They are starting to shut down self checkouts in some stores! I hope this fails!

Unfortunately, I don’t think we can stop it.

Self check problems will be solved; robots will be improved.

Amazon shut down some of its AmazonGo cashierless stores, but they haven’t given up on the technology.

Eventually machines will do a lot of jobs that are hard to fill…. Robo-trucks will pick up your garbage, etc.

But it won’t stop there.

….

Some people decried the first movies as the death of the theater…

Radio was going to kill both records and live performance.

YouTube was going to kill all of them.

Frozen food was going to end home cooking.

But all those innovations flourished, and the things they “replaced” still exist… though not on the level they once did.

….

We no longer feel guilty for watching a YouTube video instead of paying $175 for a concert ticket.

Our great great grandkids will find it quaint that we cared about fast food workers, or tried to make shopping have any sociable interactions.

Depends on where he is, and how many places in the world its still just turning midnight or one.

If it’s 4am in New York City, it’s only 1am in California, and the kids are still hanging their stockings in Hawaii.

By the lead-in at the “U.S. Sun” at this     LINK,     it is to be found in under five seconds.
Given the style of the art work I stopped when I came to something that resembled a turtle to me (over five seconds). I was wrong.
The answer is circled in the puzzle at the bottom of the article.

Here I come! Here I come!

I got a little distracted… hope you all made it home safely, and didn’t get distracted by the stinky garbage …
and especially, avoided being stuck at the dog pound.

And of course, that you were a good boy or girl, and found nine differences along the way.

As always, if you’re good, you can check your finds against mine….

Got eight, thought there must have been something near the one I missed, but couldn’t see it :-/

Quite amazing how one can miss one (A different one to the one I missed) that’s so blindingly obvious when you do spot it you wonder how you could miss it!

Made me remember a focus training seminar where a piece of film was shown and you had to count the number of ball passes were made by a group of basketball players. The lecturer then asked who had spotted the guy in the gorilla suit in the film to raise their hand…..
The guy in the suit had weaved through the group, and had even waved to the camera!!!!!

The point was being made about tunnel focus and missing the bigger picture due to concentrating on only one aspect of the job being done.

Here it is.
The first time I saw this on the ‘net (back in the mid to late 200xs), I got the right number of passes but totally missed the gorilla.
Another example of how easily we humans can be distracted.

I saw the gorilla but couldn’t count the passes.

Maybe my brain just wasn’t designed to focus on sports.

Got only eight, but in my defense –
the color of Clara’s dress depends on the angle I’m looking at it and is hardly visible sometimes.
