As far as I can tell, this is in fact titled “The Red Beret” or “The Red Beret” is the name of a series of artworks.
Some of the postings list it as “The Red Beret (Dog)”
The artist is not in credit dispute, he is: Dan Craig
You might like this LINK. It leads to the artist’s (Thiago Corrêa / Brazil) “ Tarot and Cats” deck.
Sadly, “The Ace Of Paws” appears to be a one-off poster.
I was confused, too, by the wording of that caption….
wondering why the Rover would “place” samples on Mars, as though it were bringing them to Mars instead of collecting them there, which makes no sense.
…..
I just spent some time looking it up. In case anybody else hasn’t been following…
Most of what I found was about bringing the tubes, or canisters, back to earth, but I wanted to know what was IN them.
….
My internet has been very shaky, and the best video I found to explain it is over an hour long with a good connection, so I had to skim as best I could at 1am.
As I understand it, the Rover has, indeed, been collecting these samples from the surface of Mars, in special canisters, starting in 2021.
I guess I blinked. Oops.
…..
Scientists would like to examine them on Earth, where much better laboratories and equipment exist than what the Rover carries.
But it takes two years to bring things back from Mars, and orbit and other space conditions must be favorable…. Apparently this will not happen until the early 2030’s…
So Rover is creating a stockpile, or “depot” of the filled canisters, all in one spot, to be ready for transport in a larger, better equipped, spacecraft at that time.
There’s a whole lot more here to explore than I’ve posted below ! ! !
A picture link to the “NASA Science: MARS SAMPLE RETURN MISSION” website.
The first “watch video” you see is NASA’s dream about the way the mission should work ( and the people there are really good at making their dreams come true ).
If you scroll down, there’s a second video detailing how NASA, in conjunction with the European Space Agency, plan to make that dream come true.
Total video time, 4 minutes 30 seconds.
Most of the years I’ve had computers, I’ve elected to keep the desktop plain blue.
I picked a changing background on one, but it eventually started to annoy me, and once I had a picture on it for a while, but usually it’s just “Windows blue” like an 80’s computer.
For some reason, when I got this computer, I let it use changing photos. Some I like, some I don’t… some that I do like still hide the icons too much.
…
But this little guy is on it today…. so I guess it’s worth putting up with some of the other days.
He’s a Red-Footed Booby on the Galapagos Islands. . If you don’t love his face, you gotta love the name.
I remember that I posted a Blue-Footed Booby another day, so they must come with two colors of feet! Sounds like a Star Trek episode.
I’ve tried to use pictures in the past, but I always grew annoyed, as you do, when they interfered with reading the icons.
So now I use a colour I call “Desktop Indigo”.
The attachment shows its Red, Green, Blue, and saturation components.
You have probably never heard “Roll Over Beethoven” performed like this before ! ! !
A Super Bowl advertisement Americans will get to see later today (we Canadians won’t get to see it because of federal government advertising rules supported by a 2019 Supreme Court of Canada ruling).
Why I just keep my danged mouth shut.
.
Sherlock Bones?

Less cold…
That’s actually our boss Romy (over 15.5 years old, but she doesn’t look or act like it) – picture taken just a couple of hours ago.
She looks very contemplative.
Finally caught her tail.
what a sweetheart!
The rover’s droppings
Wouldn’t they be able to take samples on their own?!?

Another NASA website; did you know you can SEND YOUR NAME TO MARS (the official name minus my question mark) ?
….
Not a small publication. THERE ARE AT LEAST 86 PAGES IN THIS ISSUE The pages used by the link to show flaws in the ebay offering can be read in part too.
Awwwww!

“Why migrate when I can stay in such a comfy spot?”
Cleo and Claude focus on the important and most interesting part of the conversation.
Clara ought to know that Claude and Cleo have their priorities…
or in this case, pie-orities…. when it comes to listening.
Alice’s son, or anybody‘s um… c-a-t… just don’t make the cut.
….
Especially when 🌟 PIE 🌟 is in the same sentence. Or paragraph. Or universe.

I have a photograph on mine of my favorite people ~ my family. Always makes me smile when I see it. Good to start my day with a smile.
