Tibet. In Europe they hunted with falcons. Not hard core enough for Tibet. They hunt with eagles.

The fault is….

….there are no latches on the bottom case.

Or…
Or, the bottom case is missing the hold-down straps (real old-timey)…

4 1/2 pence per bottle

Yup, that’s what it says. Which is about 2p in (now 50-year-old) “new” money… but worth a lot more back then.

This is one of the only images I can see on the page.

You gotta wonder how big that /4.5d bottle is, and what’s in it, that would make two gallons of lemonade.

Actually, you probably don’t want to know. Or to drink it.

My research indicates there was only one size bottle.
Rough scaling from a picture that listed the bottle’s height as 10.5 cms., I come up with a 2 fluid ounce U.K. volume.
The contents were crystals rather than fluid.
There were lots of comments recalling good memories of it, and it lasted from the early 1900s to the late 1950s at least.

Kansas City (my third choice) won the Super Bowl 38-35.
The advertisements (I was watching on line)? Aside from the one I posted yesterday; yawn.
The game? One of bumbles.
Rihanna? What was the fuss about?

Oh, I can see this too!

Looks good… I’ll take some.

I think it’s a cold pesto and tortellini salad, though … the fresh basil and tomatoes aren’t wilting, and the mozzarella isn’t melting.

Works for me!

I cooked a package of dried tortellini and when it was draining i put some butter and extra dark olive oil in the pot. Then i sprinkled some herbage and garlic in until aerobatic. Toss the tortellini back in and coat with oil/butter.
And, of course, pasta is just a delivery system for parmesan cheese.

Autocorrect strikes again! Aerobatic instead of aromatic is pretty funny, though. I see pots flying around the kitchen performing loop-the loops and barrel rolls…

There’s something fishy about that package. I just don’t like the way it smells.

If salmon sent it as joke, he’s quite a cod. Walleye don’t think it’s funny!

Watch out, Sonny!

Heyy, wait a minnow!

Should I care about such a cold fish of a killer?

If he’s the pick of the litter, I’m floundering for someone to root for.

Meanwhile… hi Cleo family. Just to let you know, I’ve been having a lot of trouble with the internet for about a week.

The last couple of days I thought it was getting better, and luckily, I could post the puzzle stuff on Friday, but tonight it’s worse again.

When I got here a few hours ago I could see a comment or two, but no images, including today’s strip… and there was no comment box to type in.

….

Gradually, the page has been opening, mostly while I doz … er… rested my eyes

Now I can see the ‘toon, but it’s 4am.

I still can’t see some of the stuff posted in the comments… it may show up, sooner or later, cos that has happened on other nights…

but tonight I’ll probably be asleep (which I should be already, if I know what’s good for me, but I obviously don’t. )

Sigh….

If this ever shows up for you, can you get a better plan from this selection?
The U.R.L. is long, but right clicking on it and opening in a new window brings up the list just fine for me.

Thanks but I can’t get better service from another DSL provider, and it would cost a lot more.

It’s the ancient wiring to my outlying, underpopulated neighborhood… every company serving this area has to rent space on the same old copper wires that belong to the phone company.

I’ve explained it here a lot. It would cost a fortune to upgrade, or put in their own all new wiring or fiber (which I want!) to this part of town, and no company, (so far), including the phone company, wants to do it for the small number of clients they could get.

They make a much better profit wiring new subdivisions, with a fraction of the difficulty.

….

I get my landline and internet bundled for a really good price from the best available company… local and very highly rated. In fact the landline is just a $10/mo add on.

Cable would be much better, I’m sure, but it’s way out of my price range.

.,..

One of these days one of the wireless providers will reach me, and maybe offer a good deal.

So far I’m still a few miles out of range for Verizon wireless, and where it does go, the internet costs about twice what I pay… and that’s without the almost free landline, which I’d have to pay for separately somewhere else, almost what I pay now for both.

BTW I’m nowhere near Palo Alto… well, compared to you I am, but it’s about 100 miles away, and very affluent, being a tech hub.

We don’t get the kind of tech services they get, though compared to the real boonies, we mostly do OK… but just not in my neighborhood.

BTW it’s not this site cos it’s happening to me on GoComics too… some strips open; most don’t.

Some nights I can reach things on my tablet that I can’t on my laptop… but not this time.

Other commenters on GoComics, in various states, sometimes complain of the same thing, so you’re not alone.
