Sorry… I had to. It was just a little teeny one, with my name written right in the icing.

And yet if you remove them from the tray and rearrange them just right, that empty space in the corner miraculously disappears!

I must be getting deaf…. I can hardly hear anything on this phone any more, except crackling noises.

Darn new-fangled contraption.

I had a book of hand shadows like this, when I was a kid.

I tried and tried, and most never looked anything like the pictures.

I could scare my little sister, though, with a bird kinda like #14 that flapped its wings, and grew larger, as I moved my hands closer to the light.

I think there were some in the girl scout handbook, too… though I also had a book of girl scout crafts, so they may have been in there.

It was while she was on her honeymoon with Joe DiMaggio. From there she went to Korea to entertain the troops, then resumed the honeymoon.

I want to tell you…. that there Google is very astute.

All you have to do is search with a picture, and it’ll tell you all about it. Sometimes it’s amazing, how much it’ll tell you.

Like this one here.

I searched this one and here’s what Google found, in the one result it came up with:

“Vintage photo of a woman with dogs.”

Wow. I never would have known.

That would be a good image for a “Don’t Tread on Me” legend too.

is Lois Nettleton.

the other lady is
Betty Garde

I didn’t recognize either of them.

They did the same to build the Canadian Pacific Railway — three men died for every mile laid…

For every mile of Canadian railroad built, three Chinese workers died: B.C. government

It always cracks me up how Dudas draws these simplified animals, in this case birds, to look so alike that he can change one or two features to make it into a different one.

I’m sure you all found it already… But just cos I said I would…

I bring you…

one slightly toucan-billed penguin…

Wouldn’t it be great to rig your bike so that if it was stolen, you could push a button and have it disassemble on command?

Looks like the weld suddenly broke (shattered) at the point where the body/cross-bar and front-wheel fork assembly meet.

OUCHIE for certain!

Which is why the better frames are sleeved and brazed and not welded. Welding creates a harder, less flexible section in the metal that can be prone to fatigue in thinner cross-sections.

For those, like me, who don’t recognize this clip and couldn’t figure out what it has to do with (presumably) Kim Novak…

This is…
Felicia Farr

In a scene from

A movie I’ve never seen…
“Kiss Me Stupid”,

which stars…
Kim Novak and Dean Martin.
