Poetry In Motion. Great song. I’d love to see a wholesome NFL Half Time Show featuring some of these classic performers and songs. As it is I usually watch the Puppy Bowl and/or take care of business (bathroom/food prep). Last Super Bowl was anything butt.
I don’t watch football, and that includes the Superbowl.
For some years in the 1990s, I used to go to a friend’s Superbowl party, where she and I made food while everybody else watched the game… but we joined them in watching the halftime show. Along with those I’ve randomly watched in other years, I’ve seen quite a few.
I no longer have TV, but I watched a video of Bad Bunny’s halftime show… I can’t call it just his performance, cos there were dozens… maybe even hundreds…. of people performing.
I don’t usually listen to that type of music, or speak enough Spanish to understand his rapidfire Puerto Rican lyrics… but I gotta tell you, I thought it was spectacular! One of the best I’ve ever seen!
An incredible set, dozens of dancers on all sorts of levels, violins, Lady Gaga, an actual live wedding… children, older people, all having fun.
He was so energetic and athletic, himself…. climbing, jumping and tumbling, his star quality was obvious.
It’s a young person’s world, true… after all, it’s their turn, just as we thought it was ours when we were young (and forgive me if you still are young) … But it doesn’t mean we need to shut our ears or our hearts!
my intention was to point out that OUR music wouldn’t be popular in the Super Bowl because it’s young people they are trying to entertain. The show, directed to the younger people , will go on if we old people enjoy the ride, or not
In re the actual video… why do people making videos about space and/or underwater phenomena think they need to add eerie music at such a high volume you can barely hear the dialogue?
Can’t turn it down or I won’t know what they’re saying, but it’s on the edge of painful to listen to.

I know… and I agree. We don’t get to choose much any more.
I was just responding to those disliking this year’s show…. which I didn’t choose, and probably wouldn’t have chosen from a list of possibilties…
But there it was, and I watched it… and loved it.
