oh yeah—I don’t know if today’s F1 cars actually leave the ground at certain tracks but it was common in the sixties…that is Jackie Stewart closely followed by Graham Hill
Unlike the last couple of day’s Marx tin windups, this is plastic.
But toys of certain types of hard plastic can be very collectible too.
I don’t even think it winds up, or had a motor.
It’s mostly the Beverly Hillbillies that gives it value.
Things from the collectors own lifetime tend to have extra value, even if not as old or rare as something from way before….
Which is why some very old cars are worth less today than some muscle cars from the 60s… Not to me, but to some people who drove them or drooled over them in their lives. It’s the audience.
Which is not to say this is worth as much as that tin car from Wednesday but I bet it’s still a couple hundred dollars or so. Maybe three.
Here in LA, fans go home if it’s sprinkling just a little bit. First world problems? Then Buffalo must be a second or third world stadium. (I’m ducking and running for cover now 🙂

Funny thing is, though, I’ve seen recent pictures that surprised me… He looks old now (because he is) and thinner, and more like his young self, in some ways.

Um, you have to consider the apparent age of the photos.
I don’t think your guess is 40 yet, so he was still a teenager in this century… And that picture looks too old for that.

Believe it or not – I got him right from the childhood photo!
Sometimes squeezing your eyes helps.
