By the very obvious similarities of the first two pictures in the array resulting from my BING IMAGE SEARCH, I’m reasonably certain that this is A.I. generated.
oh yeah—I don’t know if today’s F1 cars actually leave the ground at certain tracks but it was common in the sixties…that is Jackie Stewart closely followed by Graham Hill
Unlike the last couple of day’s Marx tin windups, this is plastic.
But toys of certain types of hard plastic can be very collectible too.
I don’t even think it winds up, or had a motor.
It’s mostly the Beverly Hillbillies that gives it value.
Things from the collectors own lifetime tend to have extra value, even if not as old or rare as something from way before….
Which is why some very old cars are worth less today than some muscle cars from the 60s… Not to me, but to some people who drove them or drooled over them in their lives. It’s the audience.
Which is not to say this is worth as much as that tin car from Wednesday but I bet it’s still a couple hundred dollars or so. Maybe three.
Here in LA, fans go home if it’s sprinkling just a little bit. First world problems? Then Buffalo must be a second or third world stadium. (I’m ducking and running for cover now 🙂
I didn’t get it from the kid picture, but I know the adult’s face well.
I never would have guessed.
Funny thing is, though, I’ve seen recent pictures that surprised me… He looks old now (because he is) and thinner, and more like his young self, in some ways.
.
How?!
His daddy was a Jackrabbit?
I don’t think you should surprise her like that.
I thought there might be flight involved.
I thought using starch went out of style.
“I’m all ears.”
..
I would hang it on my wall.
One would hope.
I mean, you really shouldn’t walk on it, or hammer nails with it, or build a fire with it.
And I doubt that it makes a good soup😁
Have to say the artist took a very layered approach to painting that bird.

“WHEEEEEEE!!”
Are all the wheels really in the air?
oh yeah—I don’t know if today’s F1 cars actually leave the ground at certain tracks but it was common in the sixties…that is Jackie Stewart closely followed by Graham Hill
Not the most astute comment you’ve ever read on the subject…. but…
Wow.
Makes me wonder at what speed and bump angle they could launch that well.
Comic strip cars. The wheels never touch the ground.
Apparently comic strip cars in real life!
November-1942-Oklahoma-City-Oklahoma.
Wow… A dime used to go a lot farther.
Of course, it was a lot harder to get a dime, too.
But why were all these men wandering Oklahoma around needing cots, a year after we entered WWII?
….
Oh! I just realized I’d misread the wording on the door.
I wondered why you only got 3 hours on your cot.
I think it says Three Floors.
It does.
That’s what I meant…
It wasn’t till I was in the middle of writing my comment, that I realized it said “Three Floors” and not “Three Hours.”
oops
I’m blind. 🙂
Nah…I probably wasn’t clear.
What’s the difference between 10 cents and 15 cents? Are the cheaper cots used & not cleaned?
I’m wondering what “privilegs” are.
No you weren’t, or your reading skills are as lacking as their spelling.
Trailer for sale or rent
Room to let fifty cents
no phone
no pool
no pets….
I ain’t got no cigarettes…
That song is one of my most constant earworms!
I had been planning to put the next line in my comment, even before Arf’s post….but I got distracted by the sign painted on the door:
“Ah, but, two hours of pushin’ broom,
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room”

Dang!
Now I gotta look it up!
.
Yikes!
I don’t think this ad would win Kelloggs any fans today!
She needs to adjust her depression meds.
Buffalo Bills fans
I’ll watch football at home.
Baseball is always best at the park.
No matter how close you are sitting to Bob Uecker.
“I must be in the front row.”
You made me go looking for it.

Clotheslined by a cow.
???
Yup, I’ve seen him on TV.
I’m going with
Totally off base. I can certainly see the facial similarity, though, between the kid and the man.
Um, you have to consider the apparent age of the photos.
I don’t think your guess is 40 yet, so he was still a teenager in this century… And that picture looks too old for that.
I didn’t get it from the kid picture, but I know the adult’s face well.
I never would have guessed.
Funny thing is, though, I’ve seen recent pictures that surprised me… He looks old now (because he is) and thinner, and more like his young self, in some ways.
For those who want to know….
Believe it or not – I got him right from the childhood photo!
Sometimes squeezing your eyes helps.
But here, the eyes and the smile did it.
He’s got more forehead now.
Missed both; not an unusual occurence.
Missed both… my usual occurrence.
Then again, it might be Edgar Rice Burrough’s Pelucidar. We’ll never know until we go through the entrance at the North Pole and check it out.
And… they’re baaack!
Batbasset and Sparrow!
It’s the Dynamic Doggie Duo, in..um… Episode Three-o.
(I know, I know. That lame wordplay would have worked a lot better if I’d thought of it for Episode Two-O. But I didn’t.
….
Meanwhile… so many surprising details revealed!
Who knew that stately Whine Manor was built right above a Batcave?
I always figured that the heir to the Whine fortune would have an impressive whine cellar…. not a Batmobile, garaged in a subterranean hideout.
…
Well, maybe he has both… it’s a long way down to the Batcave.
There might be stops (on less pressing occasions) at the Bat-Rumpus Room, the Bat-Basement Recreation Room, the Bat-Root (?) Cellar…
and obviously the Bat-Wardobe Room…
All on the way down.
….
Who knew the gate to such a fabulous driveway would be so flimsy?
But I’m sure it’s on purpose…
If you’re not going to stop to open it, you don’t want it to smash your beautiful Batcar, OR be expensive to repair.
BatBasset must have a contractor on BatSpeed dial.
…
I’m also a little surprised that Bruce Whine has a large “B” on his pocket.
Is it for “Bruce”, or is he hinting to visitors about his secret identity?
And I do hope there’s good ventilation in the BatCave, if they’re going to start up that fiery Bat-turbine in such an enclosed space.
Holy Carbon Monoxide, you doggie daredevils!
…
Eager to learn more? So am I!
See you Monday, if not before, for Episode Four!
(OK …Give it up, Susan)
…
(Hey, c’mon… it’s late. I’m burning the midnight Bat-Oil.
Lower your expectations, BatFans).
Must be late — you’re sounding a little batty. Got a thing for Bruce Whine?
Dang, Whenever I hear Waterloo, I can’t help thinking of “The Martian”. It was a pretty good adaptation of a really entertaining book.
.
His shadow looks like a milkshake with whipped cream and a straw.
Yes… And what is the straw the shadow of?
I think that’s what he’s aiming for…
“The Guardian” logo is a link to why ABBA’s costumes were so outrageous (in a word, “taxes”).
I’ve always liked “Waterloo”, but after that video, I like it twice as much.
