If you have never seen one, you are missing out.
Ive said it before, you don’t realize just how big they are until you have seen one in perspective. They are large powerful flyers.
If I remember correctly, he dressed up as one of the guards and she didn’t know that he had done that. He was a bit old to be a guardsman at that point in his life.

The tail fin styling for the 1960 Cadillac was somewhat subdued from the year prior, but they remained a major theme on the prestigious marque. Taillights were inserted into the trailing edges of the fin with a jewel-like appearance. Shown here is the ritzy Eldorado Biarritz convertible.
…comes from HERE.
It has to be photo-shopped or an A.I. compilation.
Not only the “Fuzzyness” noted by Liverlips but the position of both the goats’ hooves….
….that and there is no way an obviously dry branch would not break with that much leverage on it.
As near as I can tell, this is a gif (jiff) made from Walt Disney’s 1946 “Make Mine Music” compilation film.
I’ve found it online, but the colours are different (the site, zoechip, is now such a mess of pop-ups that I’ll leave you to go there and fight it out).
The segment is Benny Goodman’s “All the Cats Join In” which is the second song in the compilation.
Alexi, I am surprised, and then again, I’m not, but I imagine that I’ve become “jaded”…
This was part of our fifth-grade curriculum, back in 1964 in the Calgary Public School System. But, for the most part and for some reason, Canadian History wasn’t thought about much, back then, probably even less now. There was a preponderance of American History in my later grades and through High School.
And you know the old saying…. “If you forget your history, you are bound to repeat it…”
Yeah, and by my Grade 6 I was expected to name at least 40 of your 50 states. “The Americanization of Canada” was a textbook I read in Grade 10 for a term paper. An eye-opener.
The USA, or its precursors, has repeatedly tried to invade and conquer Canada. Ironically, the General who came the closest to succeeding was Benedict Arnold.
Sammy Davis Jr. performing at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk (UK) in 1960.
I’ve been to RAF Lakenheath many times when I was working, both on, and off, the Base. I’ve also been on it’s two neighbouring Bases, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell.
Due to a disagreement between Theo and Karl Albrecht, Aldi’s was split between them in the 1960s, and eventually became known as Aldi Nord and Aldo Sud (Aldi North and South).
Karl owned Aldi Sud, which operates the Aldi stores in the US.
Theo had his own fortune, having owned Aldi Nord, which long ago bought and still owns the Trader Joe’s chain in the US.
North and South both operate in Germany and internationally.
Not sure which chain is in Canada.
Total of 11″ of snow yesterday and last night. Drive and sidewalk shoveled. Office is open tomorrow, but I’m guessing we’ll have mostly no shows and cancellations.

Modern face and “styling”, expensive-looking retro clothing, old cars…. I wouldn’t be surprised if this came from Utropiia, the AI city.
Or if it were an ad for her dress from a high end magazine.
..
If I remember correctly, he dressed up as one of the guards and she didn’t know that he had done that. He was a bit old to be a guardsman at that point in his life.
I searched the picture last night, but fell asleep before I posted anything here.
According to Snopes.com, that’s a common story but unfortunately not true.
Apparently he wore that uniform on many occasions, such as the Trooping of the Colors, and the Queen’s Jubilee…. so the Queen didn’t laugh at it.
On this occasion a swarm of bees was interrupting a ceremony… which she did find amusing.
At any age, it would have been appropriate for HRH to appear on parade as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards[
I was trying to find out what this is… But there was very little information.
Then one link led to a post on DeviantArt.com, a site I don’t totally trust… but this seems legit.
The photographer says only “A symmetrical photo of a church ceiling leads to a secret tunnel.”
I’m not quite sure what that means, but it might be that he has joined a photo of an arched ceiling with its mirror image…
In which casei believe it’s also rotated 90°. The row of windows would have gone at the bottom.

,.
Yuck! I can’t imagine driving in that with manual breaks. Or those old narrow tires.
Or before climate change…
The narrow tyres cut through the snow. If you watch any Rallying from the Scandinavia regions, all the Rally cars have narrow tyres.
.,
Ahhhh-choo!
“ POOFIES “
(as my 3-year-old-daughter used to call ‘em)
..,
Looks like some kind of surgical implement…
A very large one!
Do they make any other kind? Ouch!

…,
I do not want to come back as a goat.
LOL!
I want to know how the one who is higher up got out there in that position. Did he back up, or did he walk out and turn around?
The ‘Fuzzyness’ surrounding the goats make me think AI for this image.
probably it is
It has to be photo-shopped or an A.I. compilation.

Whoops! ! Apologies to
for misattributing his observation to Liverlips (apologies to you, too, Liverlips).
If it’s AI…. is THIS? There’s SOME kind of trickery, because two goats turn into three.
How is this done?
BTW it says “how many goats do you see on this branch and which one falls off?”
The last part of that is only visible in the title on YouTube.
Definitely AI/digital manipulation, looks to me like the goats were on rocks or something and have been superimposed on the background.

One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor.
Rear window revisited…
It would make a funny building, this collage, what with floors and ceilings all on different levels.
Imagine the hallways…. Up three steps to the next apartment, down seven to the one after. 😁
And at least a few have windows to the outdoors or into another apartment on another wall.

I found a cut of the segment on YouTube!
This scence takes place at 1:53.
I thought the pink top was a bit suggestive — then we got the shower scene — hubba hubba!

Links are on that site. No clutter, ads, pop-ups etc.

…oops?
That made it barely solvable…
Agreed.
They’re so hard to see even with the circles, I doubt I’d ever have found them.

Oops!
Sliding into third?
Duck games don’t get called for rain.
200 years before it’s time…
Thank you for that ! ! !
I just learned a bit about my country’s early history.
P.S.
I know we’re not supposed to bring politics here, but…
We still don’t want to join the United States.
don’t blame you
That’s cool. 🙂

We didn’t learn any Canadian history, except for a few bits about early days, and French explorers and such.
I bet only a small percentage of Americans could name any former Canadian Prime Minister, or half the provinces.
It’s ridiculous!
And I say that even though I’m American.
Yeah, and by my Grade 6 I was expected to name at least 40 of your 50 states.

Now this is skill ! !
Wow!

From today’s London “Daily Mail,”
And another couple of bits.

I buy it frozen. Am I inspired to make it from scratch? Maybe…
Dead easy to make, substitute the lamb for beef, add grated cheese on top, and you have ‘Cottage Pie’.
