looks like we’re going to fend for ourselves in further fine-tuning this site……My month
of paid for help has expired and the text color is something that I noted but failed
to correct…….I would prefer that the text here in the comments is black for best
contrast but I’m unable to effect the change, it IS difficult to read-

Saturday “T Minus 1 Day & Counting” Non Solution Solution
1. Top panel: Cat at top center is thinking, “Why didn’t I get a square text box and pointy arrow?” Bottom Panel: Cat at top center is thinking, “ACK.”
2. Top: White cat at bottom realizes he’s making history in the FIRST Cleo & Co. non Sherpa “FIND THE NINE DIFFERENCES”. Bottom: White cat realizes his dressing room doesn’t have a litter box.
3. Top: Hello Kitty™ is dancing because that’s how Hello Kitty™ rolls. Bottom: Penny pinching C&C producers would never pay Hello Kitty™’s standard appearance fee – actor in Hello Kitty™ suit is Max.
4. Top: Cat In The Hat™ looks puzzled because he’s thinking, “Is that Ren or Stimpy? (I can never keep them straight).”. Bottom: Cat in the Hat™ is not puzzled – he is catatonic from low-grade discount catnip provided by Cheapskate Cartoonist.
5. Top: Lampshade, barf, deceased mouse, hair ball and claw marks left over from this months’ Super Bowl Sunday Kitten Bowl. Bottom: Lampshade, etc. are the work of Ludwig from Arlo & Janis™ who is pissed he was omitted from today’s “Find the Nine Differences.”
6-9. This week the infamous 6-9 section is dedicated to the memory of Sherpa* (the Fat Lady ain’t sung yet but she’s humming whilst she whistles past the graveyard).

Always struggle with find the differences. I eventually get em after my first 3 cups of coffee. Right now? < 1/2 cup
Y’all wrestle that old polar bear’s Coke from him, make a Colorado Bulldog, dip some strawberries in chocolate and relax…. Your sense of smell may be back someday.
gocomics certainly deserves our scorn now…..but I’m still grateful to them for
providing a outlet for me and the other wandering souls to pretend like they’re
real, actual cartoonists.
without the loyal readers, I would not have pushed myself to churn out these silly things
all these years……and since we’re on a roll, lets just continue here until the interest
is no longer there.
ok, PUSHED myself isn’t exactly accurate…..it was and is a ton of fun.
two valid points—neither of which I can remedy right now
the fine tuning of a new web site is a bit over my head.—all I want to do is draw cartoons,
but I’ve been forced into a situation where I have to learn web design on the fly…..
..at least it is functioning right now.
thanks for taking the time to drop those suggestions, I’ll continue to seek advice and
consul and get this thing better.
Keep coming back, it’s a work in progress!
I’ve posted the link to my side-by-side version, and we are commenting, on the “Ballard Street” strip for February 28th, 29…
the same page where we’ll comment on Sunday’s strip as well.
https://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2011/02/28
OK… I also posted the solution there…
Plus a another challenge…. naming the cats.
BTW… I still can’t log in under either name… but for some reason, tonight I’m getting a formatting toolbar… which I never had before.
There are a couple of things in it that I don’t recognise.. like a plus sign ominously labelled “Spoiler.” I gotta look that up.
And all the text, here and in the posted comments, has gone light grey, instead of black, so it’s very hard to see.
I hope that’s not how it will remain.
The site is looking good though!

Penny-pinching cartoonist refuses to pay for tech support – quality suffers!
I’m going to have to get some new pennies. the ones I have are all pinched
Need Susan’s solution! LOL
I found it!
How do you delete a comment?
annnnd a moment of silence for the dearly-departed decapitated mouse.
decapitated mice can be SO annoying. I mean, where do you click them?
RIP Jerry.
Jerry was DEFinitely RIPped –wide open , it would appear. Tom seems
rather happy with the turn of events.
Penny-pinching cartoonist refuses to put new batteries in dead mouse – quality suffers!
Your own – “Click to edit” -> “Delete”
Thanks!

a moment of silence for the down-on-his-luck, dearly-departed, decapitated mouse.
seems I remember that promise. they kept moving the goalposts until they
moved them clear out of the building.
The hell with GoComics. Here’s a picture my cat.

And it got all your fans together. Only the best people read Cleo and Company!
Absolutely!
Yes, we are.
Eerie..
Where am I? Everything so beautifuuul! All the colorful pics and videos. Did I die along with Sherpa and am in heaven? Did that darn virus get us all?
Don’t worry ~ you are among friends.
I am happy to see that Cleo has its own site now with its own comments.
but I have two suggestions:

I agree that it is hard to read for old eyes.
WOW! That is one busy puzzle :: loved the cats!
Took a bit to find all 9 differences, but got the last one after about 15 minutes searching.
