No. Not wrong at all.
Rover was supposedly renamed after the discovery of Pluto.
As for Hades – well – he is Jupiter’s (Zeus) and Neptune’s (Poseidon) brother.
No I’m sure you know it’s true… At least the way Pluto is standing.
With a human, it works if the scales are side by side, so your legs are vertical, but I think too big a stretch between them can distort it a little from the sideways vector.
I’m no physicist. This is something I was told years ago, so I’m open to correction.
I thought it might be too, and they could indeed pass as each other, but Dick VanDyke is on the left, and who it really is, is on the right (click on the collage to enlarge).
I remember Roddy McDowell as Cornelius in Planet of the Apes, but misremembered his character’s name as Galen, which was from his role in the TV series, Planet of the Apes.
I think this is the first one I don’t recognise as a kid and I’m also not totally sure I know as an adult…
But if I’m right I should recognize the kid
because
he was already an actor.
As an adult he was pretty much disguised half the time… But before I Google him to check…
I think he’s
Roddy McDowell
In old movies as a teen… If I’ve got the right face… I remember him in “My Friend Flicka” and especially “Lassie Come Home”, with the young Elizabeth Taylor.
Today’s Songs:
1. ‘ Oh! Darling ,’ 2. ‘ Ooh Child ,’ 3. ‘ Ophelia ,’ and 4. ‘ Photogaph ,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe 5. ‘ Coconut Cream Eggs ‘
1. John Lennon thought it was a great song that its composer, Paul McCartney, didn’t sing well.
2. Not to start a trend this week, but the ‘A’ side was their cover of ‘Dear Prudence’ (written about Mia Farrow’s sister).
3. Title inspired by ‘Hamlet’ or Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon’s ( Minnie Pearl) second name….you decide.
4. I don’t like all of Nickleback’s songs, as I think I’ve said their disparagement by, for lack of a better description, the musical society is completely uncalled for.
5. This has got to be as sweet as Saucy 1121’s Christmas fudge. Maybe she can make this her July 4 treat.
BOO! 🙂 Too many years of experience with the white snot on the road.
I do okay, but too many people don’t know how not to panic. And i don’t want to be on the road with them at 6:00 AM. 🙁
Finally got some Sunday (~3″-4″). I skied in the morning, shoveled in the afternoon. By Monday there wasn’t enough to ski on and yesterday it was gone.
Until I had to start taking some medications a few years ago, that was me as well, I didn’t feel the cold. It used to drive the people I worked with nuts, because they’d be wearing coats and I’d be in a T-shirt. I could happily work outside in -5C (23F) in a T-shirt, it never bothered me. Nowadays thanks to blood thinning meds, if it drops below 20C (68F) I feel cold 🙁
.
Hello person!
If a movie could be made of all those eyes have seen …
“Little Big Man”?
,
Is she pregnant? With a hippo can you tell?
Don’t go asking a hippo personal questions… or insulting one about her weight.
Be careful.
I’ve read that hippopotamuses kill more people every year than any other mammal, except for dogs, and the number one mammalian killer: Humans.
Yup.
NOSE!
.
That works.
You can actually stand on two scales and add the weights to get the total.
It’s ok, Pluto.
….
And you’re still a planet, in my book, too.
No… wait… sorry… wrong Pluto.
No. Not wrong at all.
Rover was supposedly renamed after the discovery of Pluto.
As for Hades – well – he is Jupiter’s (Zeus) and Neptune’s (Poseidon) brother.
Add them together? Are you nuts!
No I’m sure you know it’s true… At least the way Pluto is standing.

I pick the number I like best and go with that. I lost 70# overnight by getting a second scale 😉
NOSE!
,,
…noonononononononono…
Please don’t!
i was just going to say how sweet…
I’m paranoid. Too many years of being a caregiver for elderly. 😀
On rough, rocky dirt.
In her nightgown and robe, wearing plastic slides (shoes) that are too big, so they fall off, or her toes slide all the way through.
Holding an umbrella, so she can’t use her arms for balance.
What could possibly go wrong?
Read the story HERE.
More about the creator of it HERE.
The comet guns must be recoiless.
..
Works for me.
NOSE!
Eyes
…of brown!
He looks like he has a lot on his mind. War. Peace. Kibble.
,
NOSE!
The paws that refreshes.
“Cuppa Joe and a coupla Milk Bones and I should be OK….
Hey, you got any-a those little green ones?”
Neither one.
me too!
I know the adult face, but I have no idea what his name is.
I recognize him, but i can’t dredge up a name.
same. Wasn’t he
I’m thinking
NOPE.
I can see why you thought so, but no.
But I’m probably wrong.
That’s it!
I did say I was probably wrong…….
I remember Roddy McDowell as Cornelius in Planet of the Apes, but misremembered his character’s name as Galen, which was from his role in the TV series, Planet of the Apes.
Knew him immediately. Child actor.

Starred in “Planet of The Apes” as an adult.
I just googled him….
Yep that’s him.
cool!!!

I do get cold, but it’s usually a while after everyone else has gone indoors.
“… and the little booties too.”
Not necessarily – they protect her paws from salt.
And the soles provide extra traction!
Our dogs still hated them. Jack would take them off; Luna never let us get them on her in the first place.
My brother’s dog immediately chewed her rubber ones to bits.
Well, she chewed the first one and they got the other three off before they met the same fate.
I’m freezing my butt off!
And we haven’t even seen any snow!
It’s coming.
BOO! 🙂 Too many years of experience with the white snot on the road.
I do okay, but too many people don’t know how not to panic. And i don’t want to be on the road with them at 6:00 AM. 🙁
Agreed.
here, too!
Finally got some Sunday (~3″-4″). I skied in the morning, shoveled in the afternoon. By Monday there wasn’t enough to ski on and yesterday it was gone.
We West Coasters freeze easily.
Today I’m freezing at 41°F.
None of my search tricks worked to get anything definitive on this, but the style appears, to me, to match the style at THIS website.
NOSE!
I would trust that Captain.
Had a neighbor like that… Not a teenager, but in his 20s, with a young family.
We northern Californians are a little hardier than they are a few hundred miles south, but we’re still spoiled.
45°F means break out the down jackets.
This guy was a transplant from Minnesota… his wife and 2 little kids soon acclimated to California weather.
Be he never did… in the 2 years or so they lived here I never saw him in a jacket.
He worked outdoors, and wore a short sleeved (usually Vikings) Tshirt and cargo shorts all winter.
