StelBel will choose that one as the leading role in the superior basset version of the human movie “Elf”.

A     LINK     to some of the surviving radio episodes (I have no idea what they sound like, I haven’t listened to any. I like “Box 13,” Jack Webb’s “Pete Kelly’s Blues,” “Jeff Regan” “Dragnet,” and “Pat Novak, For Hire” I also like “The Shadow,” which wrongly identified Lamont Cranston as “The Shadow”, and others. All are available on the ‘net, and a good number of the old radio shows went on to television.

Here is the Columbia Pictures serial.
I set it to start as close to the beginning as I could, the introduction by the website personnel wasn’t that good.

Kid face looks just like the young adult he was when he got famous!

Same nose, same expression and tilt of the head he often used, though nowadays he looks different cos he’s older and somewhat heavier.

I could tell

that the boy looked just like
John Travolta, as in the clip above from Saturday Night Fever.

I’ve always liked this strip… Reminds me of a couple of people I know. 😁

Both of them have asked me many times to teach them about computers or answer their computer questions…

But one of them won’t keep any emails cos they might fill up her computer, and won’t delete her old copy of Word cos no matter how many times I explain, she thinks her fonts are inside the file and if I’m wrong it might delete her favorite one.

The other thought a computer virus could make her sick, and can’t understand how to use her smart phone. She does have the excuse now of being over 90, so I’m happy for whatever she can do… but this has been going on for at least 25 years.

Neither understands the difference between a browser and a search engine. The first one insists that Google is her browser, and the other just says “Don’t try to tell me… I don’t care.”

They both refuse to understand the sizes of image files. Doesn’t really matter now, but did when email didn’t allow much room.

LOL

I can find no evidence anywhere that this is real.
I consider that unfortunate.

Today’s Songs:
1. ‘Remember (Walking in the Sand) ,’ 2. ‘Rock Around The Clock ,’ 3. ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll (I Gave You The Best Years of My Life) ,’ and 4. ‘Roxanne ,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe 5. ‘Cool Curried Vegetables ‘
1. The full official title. It is rumoured that Billy Joel is playing the opening piano chords.
2. This is probably the first true rock and roll song I ever heard. It still stands up today.
3. Up until today, I thought that Terry Jacks had written this. The original version sung by its composer, Australian singer Kevin Johnson, is below (both versions are very wistful / Mac Davis covered it as well).
4. Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner CBE (Sting) wrote the song. It is the song that began the rise of ‘The Police.’ It was inspired by the prostitutes he saw outside the band’s Paris hotel in 1977. The title is indeed chosen from Edmond Rostand’s 1897 play, ‘ Cyrano de Bergerac’, (an old poster for a performance was hanging in the hotel / the song is supposed to have a tango beat, the idea for it credited by Sting to the band’s drummer, Stewart Copeland, but I can’t hear it)..
5. Rutabagas are brownish and sweeter than turnips.Turnips are pinkish and smaller than rutabagas. I’m not particularly fond of either one, although I’ll eat a small amount just to be polite if the circumstances demand it.

Your third link is unavailable to me, and possibly other. I am adding a link to Terry Jack’s Rock and Roll I Gave You all the Best Years of my Life on YouTube:

From yesterday.
Your definition of ability to sing and mine diverge. I made it 55 seconds in and had to stop.
I still like this one though.

Happy x3 posted on Citizen Dog (GC) that he lost power yesterday and probably won’t get it back until at least tomorrow. Tried to post here, but couldn’t. Getting colder in his house as well. He’s worried about his birds with the cold.
