I found out the bright green is an Asian version of duckweed, just a thin layer on top of dark, murky water, which you can see where the oars pushed it aside.
I’m not saying the bright green is real… I saw a bunch of pictures like that, but they could all be done with filters, for all I know.
….
But I have to say, the right hand picture looks equally fake…
A black and white picture, barely colorized with a thin layer of a sort of olive drab on just the water and trees.
The boat, the shoes, and the bit of sky between the trees all look like they were left in black and white.
The color text and emojis aren’t part of the picture… They just help make you think it’s in color.
Why would someone do that? Just to get hits or likes, and draw people to his page or his “expert” videos.
….
I saw a video yesterday by someone who proclaims himself an expert on various topics, and has some followers.
It was about oranges… And he knew NOTHING about oranges.
It was full of misinformation that I think most people could expose.
But people who apparently knew even less were thanking him for his “advice.” He probably makes money on YouTube, and that’s the goal.
One of my grandsons (7 years old) loves to do gardening. Give that boy a set of clippers, and Lord knows what will happen to your plants. He’s actually pretty savvy about it, if a little over-zealous. Heck, he could cut my vines back to the trunk & I’d let him do it. They’ll recover, and he’ll never be exactly this age or this cute again. Fun times!
I use AI to create fantasy and naive landscapes of cities, villages and towns, old and modern houses and buildings. I create images of fantasy cities and towns in spring, autumn, winter, summer, at sunrise, sunset, at the golden hour, at night, in fog, in the rain.”
I got nine, including one prominent one that is very easy to overlook, but it did take a while to find another one that, in hindsight, should have been fairly obvious!
In 1953, the NSU factory in Dusseldorf, Germany, introduced the “Double-Lambretta.” Initially designed for young couples, this small motorcycle could be expanded by joining it with another Lambretta to accommodate a growing family, effectively transforming into a small car that could carry two adults and two children, achieving speeds of up to 78 km/h and a fuel efficiency of 3.4 litres per 100 km. (48.5 MPH, 0.9 gallons per 62 miles).
Probably wouldn’t have been “street legal” here, even in the 50s.
Neither fast enough, nor protective enough of the occupants.
It’s funny… You’re allowed to ride a motorcycle… there weren’t even helmet laws back then… even to have a sidecar.
But cars have to have sides that come up to a certain point and be able to reach certain speeds, among other things.
Maybe 48mph was legally fast enough for city streets; I don’t know.
But do know military stationed overseas in the early 60s would often be told they couldn’t bring back vehicles that didn’t meet US standards for street use….
And 60mph was required for the highway, and I think even country roads, except for certain farm vehicles.
.
Reports from northern Canada from natives say that the bears are finding new food sources.Including fishing.
Fishing is fine…
For a sec I thought you said fishermen. 😧
..
We had the left hand picture a while back.

They’re pbobably hiding the 17-foot alligators that are in the pictures, too.
The difference between the two might also be a factor of season.
,.
(I had to google to get Natalie Wood as the youngster.)
Looks like they’re sitting in a swamp boat.
True. I think it’s one of those big fan that simulates wind in a scene, though ☺️
,,
See? That’s why we need tails.
And fur.
,
True farm dog.
Proud (but confused) Mama!
I bet they planned that!
I wonder how many takes were required to get it right?
And how many stunt doubles they went through
At this point in his career, Keaton still performed all his own stunts…. And most of them were filmed in one take!
Later, signed to a different studio, he lost creative control of his movies, and was forced to use stunt doubles.
Buster Keaton in “Sherlock Jr.” from 1924.
…
Is the little darling still alive?
He appeasers to be wearing safety glasses.
Safety glasses… Plus a big Shop Vac in the hall.
Maybe he’s not in trouble…
I’m wondering whether his parents are actually encouraging it…
Maybe letting him have fun, helping break up the old vinyl tiles they’re about to replace.
A one boy demolition crew.

Ascending Mount Paletknif…
Bagel with a smear. Yes, I am a New Yorker!
That’s what I thought of first too!
I’m not a New Yorker… but I grew up on Jewish food. 😁
Yeah. No. 😀
Shoulda used his right arm…
I’d say he shoulda stopped using his right arm for a while.
Shoulda have eaten more than half a can of spinach.
He wanted to make it “sporting” for the others.

“And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills…?”……………..Wm. Blake
With all that smog, it could probably even be several cities in China.
From the “artist”.
Ok that was mean. He is an artist in his way.

Drill baby drill, and bring back coal!
‘Merica 2028.
maybe it’s the other way around!
Interesting… Though kinda scary. Apparently it’s poisonous.
It comes from a rather fancy looking egg…
And it’s feathery legs make it almost disappear on the mango leaves it likes to eat…
But it’s the caterpillar of the drab, brown Baron Butterfly, from the Indian subcontinent.
Wow.
What’s he done with Faye Wray?
Some very early version of Donkey Kong?
You see how hard it is to choose a hotel room?
Here are two rooms that look pretty much the same, yet there are nine differences between them!
Just in case you’re having a hard time telling them apart, I found all the differences.
I do like to be helpful…. but, really, you should try first.
Then if you have a problem
I found eight. I’ll try again tomorrow.
I got nine, including one prominent one that is very easy to overlook, but it did take a while to find another one that, in hindsight, should have been fairly obvious!
Your sneaky one was probably the hardest for me…
What I noticed was that the space over the man’s head looked bigger on the right.
Just to make sure it wasn’t my eyes playing tricks, I had to count the door panels, to see which one the picture lined up with on each side.
Exactly!
Yes,
That sneaky one played right into my search system, so I found it quickly.
Yes!
Me too 🙂
The hard one for me was the table’s pedestal. Got the others right away. Then had to search a bit.
I found nine — does that mean somebody is going to come up with a tenth? Eleventh?

Another dual one, attached behind?

Certainly wouldn’t be legal here in the UK for one specific reason, it has two engines driving the wheels.
I got eight this morning.
And all day to find #9.
“Wood, wood, wood!”
Looking forward to the next “Comic Cafe” at Werkstattkino here in Munich.
That’s one of the cartoons we’ve watched at Comic Cafe a couple of weeks ago: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1549qd
Some of my creations came out looking like overstuffed Daffy. Most were just skinny!
??
“Taxidermy” was another museum talent I was expected to acquire. By retirement I’d stuffed around 300 birds and 100 mammals…
Oh! I knew you’d done some taxidermy…
For some reason my mind was focused on cartoons and drawing, and that you meant actual stuffed creatures didn’t occur to me.
