Probably zero chance anybody actually made this shot in real life…. But wouldn’t it be cool?

Credit where credit is due: Even designing the fake is pretty clever…

I bet they won’t be able to do 26 to 27.

Maybe not on the first shot, but I’ve seen examples of her trick shots. She’s amazingly good! Good call on 26 to 27, though. Maybe in Roman numerals and line 3 up?

Oh! I don’t watch pool anywhere…
So I didn’t realize she was an actual, well known pool player….

I thought it was just an edited YouTube video somebody put on together for a New Year’s greeting.

Amazing.

Hmmm… didn’t think about MMXXVI to MMXXVII.
Yeah, it’s a lot of set-up, but that would probably be doable… and then so would XXVIII.

2028 to 29 can be done with the digital style numbers above again.

2029 to 30 could be that or XXIX TO XXX.

I think she’s set until she has to change either 2033 to 2034, or MMXXXIII to MMMXXXIV.

LOL

Wow… I had no idea.

I don’t have a TV, or follow sports, which I guess pool is considered one of… and now I feel a bit embarrassed!

She’s still good. It’s possible for her to take the title again.

Most professional snooker players could do it. I’ve seen some amazing shots played in tournaments.

I have the same problem when I try to buy ready made curtains… They only come in one standard length, and it’s too long.

Too cold. If i was there i couldn’t enjoy the view. I’d be inside, wrapped up in blankets.

Smart Doggy… in both senses of the word.

Smart, as in fashionable, of course… and smart cos she saw the snowy pictures above and chose an outfit not only for its chic appearance, but to cover her ears and keep her warm.

Now… somebody please tell me that’s another dog back there, and not some sort of proof that our sleek model friend is also a contortionist.

What’s worse, the rack, or the feather tickling the feet? Deviously evil torture!

The agony.
The secret shame of art addiction.
It’s about time someone addressed it.

At least one in ten families is dealing with an artist, hiding the evidence…. they need to know they’re not alone.

Some even hide it in baking or cosmetology! Others go so far as exhibiting. At Renaissance faires! And asking for money to fuel their addiction! Oh, the shame! 😉

It does have to do with why I’m a hairstylist.

I was pretty sure that was at least a part of it. I’m sure that you approached it as an artist. Different requests were probably very welcome (unless they asked the impossible).

My family actively tried to stop me!

Their insistence on not wasting time on art class or painting, or wasting money on foolish “art supplies”…shirt cardboard, kiddie watercolors, and school pencils were “good enough” … made me ruin my science notebooks with doodles.

I grew up without proper channeling or training for the craving, and while I still want to, I can’t even be good at it.

At first I read that as beef-ly.
Rhyming with briefly.

I’m not usually one to call insects cute.
But I have no choice, with this one.

It looks like one of those little fuzzy fake chicks with wire legs they used to put on Easter baskets.

I’m glad it’s on a flower.

I’ll be really disappointed if it hangs out on garbage cans and… other disgusting fly magnets.

Something about his expression… I didn’t recognize him for a minute or two.

But yes… it’s
Sean Connery and Honor Blackman

on the set of…

Goldfinger, 1964

I looked and looked but I couldn’t find a crown of any description.

I decided that maybe this is one of those times when part of the puzzle is missing… so I reluctantly decided to search for the image.

My reluctance is due to the possibility of seeing the solution, instead of a better version of the puzzle, because I don’t like that to happen before I get a chance to solve it myself.

Well…. neither happened. What did happen was that I saw this image on a couple of puzzle sites, titled not “Find the Crown”, but “Find the Coffee Cup“.

That was confusing too, because there are lots of coffee cups, if you count the disposable takeout ones.

Finally… after wasting more time than I can really justify, but what’s time, anyway?… I discovered that AFAIK, there’s only one real coffee cup.

I think that’s what we’re after. Though if you also see a crown, let me know, pretty please.

Did it fight its way in?

Another one of my very favorite Cleo strips!
How did you know?

Very funny, wonderful animation and so many of my basset heroes!

I can’t say “all” because of Superbasset, and even Sam Hound, who wouldn’t be performing cliffside rescues anyway, but he’s a hero nonetheless. And Indiana Basset…. and… I still may be leaving somebody (somebasset?) out.

Great way to start the year… my basset clock yesterday (yes, I’m possessive) and my heroes today.. Thanks NH!

A good thing you figured that out!
Sounds like there was no clue… just trial and error.

But as for leaving the bunny… No harm no foul.
