I suppose I should be grateful that whatever I posted so far have been successful posts, because for the last 20 minutes, I have NOT been able to post videos, gifs or images….in short, anything with a URL.
So, I’m shutting down everything now, for a while, and I’ll try again in about an hour. Sorry, folks. I hope I’ll be able to get some videos on the page later. I picked out some late sixties oldies that, at least for me, really bring back some great memories!
Thanks for including all those movie and actor facts! I always admire your level of research in doing these reviews, and under such adverse internet conditions, too!
Much appreciated!
It was 54° at 10 this morning. Since then, we’ve had some rain and snow. Supposed to have anywhere between 2-10″ of snow tomorrow afternoon through Saturday morning. Yes, that’s a huge range and typical of predictions here. It’s notoriously hard to tell how much (if any) snow we’ll get from any given storm here in southeast, VA. With the ocean and the bay, a difference of a few miles in the track can mean the difference between rain, flurries and a big ol’ snowstorm.

Although not a favorite movie of mine, I do love the poster ~ especially the stand-out purplie eye shadow. All the names are amazing ~ my favorite being Christopher Walkies. And, of course, I love the rating!

later…..
Good luck, Fair Stel.
See you tomorrow.
Thanks, ML !
Sweet dreams!
Now I really have to get my sound working!
Absolutely!!!
Love the eyeshadow.
You mean Cleo Clifford Purplie, of course! LOL
…
…
Even though I can see the poster, and some of the images, most of the pictures and videos are gray squares with sad faces.
I’m not sure if I should change anything…or not! Everything is showing up on my screen.
Mine 2.
… Hold On… Incense and Peppermint
Heck we covered those back in the day.
No, I think it’s my internet.
Cleo apparently requires a better connection than some other sites, probably cos of all the graphics.
…
…
And this one
Oh….sweet memories…
I can see that one… Are those the real costars of Citizen Dog, out of costume?
Indeed they are!
Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, 1907
Gustav Klimt
And I can see this one!
I think Gustav would like it…
He’d be jealous of the glitter paint.
…
…
OMG another one
Where did you find my playlist???
On the same theme”
I always thought the Swinging Medallions were black! Just saw a picture and was surprised.
Great choice!
Everything seems to be back in working order. I guess my PC was just crying out for a little break!
Oh boy – one of my favorite Stel Bel movie posters! Worth the price of admission.
Thanks!! Nice of you to say, LM !
I made it! Sort of, anyway.
I’ve been trying (off and on) for hours to get this site to open!
Sometimes I could get a blank background with no content, other times just the headers… But sometimes only an error message.
…..
I thought it was a WordPress problem, but now I think it’s my internet, too, even though some other sites are working.
Finally I gave up… But I’ve discovered discovered I can get here on my phone, as long as I use mobile data and not WiFi.
The only problem is… I have to do this on my phone.
I like doing a lot of things on my phone… But … Sigh ..I’d rather use my computer for commenting on Cleo.
Maybe next time.
I had all sorts of problems earlier, as well. Who knows what’s going on, huh?
Meanwhile, amazing job on that poster, Stel…
So many names! And such a beautiful portrait of Uma Thurdog! Of course, it would be hard to find a photo of her that is NOT beautiful…
But she looks especially fetching in her purplie eye shadow, and high black collar…
(Though the expression on her face clearly says “Don’t get any ideas. I am not fetching anything for anybody.”)
…
This film launched her as a major star.. and restarted John Tragrowler’s flagging career…
It’s consistently ranked among the best basset films ever…
In fact, it put both Basset Pictures and Quentin Taranbasset on the map, and single-pawedly started a renaissance of independent film-making.
…
The plot can be described as “Everybody shoots everybody.”
I…er… I hear it’s amazing…
I mean… c’mon.. it’s a Quentin Tarabasset movie.
l’d love to go, honest…
…
But you see, a good friend who is somewhat of a movie tester for me told me that the Scaredy Cat row will not do for me this time,
Cos every time someone would tell me OK, it’s safe to open your eyes, Susan…
KAPLOWIE!!
Someone else unexpectedly goes down in a flash of gunfire and sometimes… ewww… blood.
…
But you guys… um… enjoy, OK?
I’ll be right here, baking, making a big pot of chicken soup, and awaiting your glowing reports
…
Montana Lady, and anybody else who’d like to join me, you’re welcome…
though if you’d rather go to the theater and try sitting in the Scaredy Cat Row, I understand.
But everybody come on over afterwards, and tell me all about it, over nice hot soup and chocolate chip cookies.
Deal?

I was all set to come over before your gracious invite! Hot soup and cookies…yum. I’ll bring my world-famous crusty bread, too.
buttercrunch
Nice nod to today’s ‘One Big Happy’ strip on GoComics.
Uma Thurdog…. I even liked Kill Bill 1&2…. ARROOOoooo
Another Stel-lar movie poster today!
Good morning movie phans!
Go grab a wheel! It’s national cheese lovers day! (((((Hugz!)))))
Welcome to the upper Midwest…
That was definitely an LOL !!! (and true in New England, as well!)
And Montana, too!

I confess that I wasn’t a big fan of the movie, either. Yet, the poster was a lot of fun to do. I’m glad you enjoyed it, PC !
