Not quite 25 miles per hour top speed.
If it were a straight run, it would be a not quite 15.7 % grade (15.7 unit rise over a 100 unit run / remember geometry?), so the 31 curves are obviously used to “shallow” the true grade of the hill.
what a delightful morning this has been! first has been a great poster about the BONE-ansa family. and, then, 3 renditions of the theme song. can’t get any better than this!
As I’ve said before, I’ve liked this from the first time I heard it.
I finished today’s crossword at around the 12 minute mark.

I know I’ve posted this U,.R.L. to this crossword page before, but here it is again anyway.

chocolate covered cherries day
Walmart, Canada 4 for $4.70 tax in. It’s also asparagus month.
What a waste of decent ingredients.

I can watch a horse run all day long.
That makes that the best gif ever.

Wow… “Bone-anza!”
With three kids back then, and of course, only one TV….
You can imagine there was some arguing chez Sunshine, over what to watch.
But my parents always prevailed, which almost always meant my Dad, unless he thought my mother wanted something else, because she would never say so.
…
Bone-anza was one of the only programs my whole family agreed on, and no one wanted to miss.
Every Sunday night, in front of the huge 14″ black and white TV, we all paid our respects.
We kids argued, instead, over the canine stars.
…
My sister claimed Little Joey, aka Mikey Landhound, as HER dog…
But I didn’t care cos I wanted to put my leash on Pawnell Robarks… to me, the smart, more grown-up, pick of the litter.
—
More grown up than I knew….
We later found out all of the “brothers” were years older than we’d thought…
and except for Little Joey, they all wore toupees(!),
being, in real life, far too old to be growly-voiced, also wig-wearing, Lorrrrne Grrreene’s puppies….
even though in their roles on the show, they all acted like obedient teenagers.
—
Speaking of his grrrowly voice…
Who the heck told Lorrrne Grrreene he could sing?
Did somebody forget to yell “April Fool!”?
Maybe that’s why they only used instrumental versions on the show…
Nobody wanted be the one to tell him they were going to use someone else’s vocals.
—
Though it was made pretty obvious in the various plots,
I don’t remember knowing till later that each pup, in the storyline, was born to a different mother…
Wow, that ol’ Pa really got around.
Well, it couldn’t have been his singing that attracted the ladydogs.
…
Nonetheless, we loved the show…
Accepting its premise … three grown men living with their Pa, obeying his orders… and always ready to solve problems on the range.
We were all ready to believe it.
Q: Who told Lorne Greene he could sing?
A: William Shatner.
very good…hahahahhhaaa
Yeah, also a family pleaser in my house growing up.

That was great!! Really enjoyed it!
(I know all the original words to the song, but doubt I could ever learn this version!)
What fun!
