Aww… It’s a fennec fox.

The smallest fox… And also the one with the proportionately biggest ears.

They come from the African desert.

Tripoli isn’t in the desert, but when I lived there, a looong time ago, sometimes we’d see one on a leash.

Usually it would be trying to run in crazy little circles, attempting to hide or get away.

I didn’t know the name then… We called them desert foxes.

I thought something must be going on, to have so many people blocking the street… So I searched the image to see whether it was a special occasion.

Turns out they’re what were known as curb brokers, an outdoor stock exchange conducted on the street.

It was noisy, with people shouting their trading, and in comparison with the NYSE, with which it later merged, a little ways down the street, there were a lot more very speculative stocks, and more swindling.

If you want to know more about the curb exchange… Here’s Wikipedia…

Hmmm…..

I found 13, but I count 16 circles in the solution.

Three of those are invisible to me:

There’s another one I wasnt sure I was seeing, but it’s circled here.

The buck on the far left looks singular to me, and I can’t see anything across the way from where all the deer on the right are facing.

Nor do I see anything in the tree, right above the “rec” symbol.

It’s only the gates to Buckingham Palace, home of the British monarch. No reason not to be gentlemanly and let a lady pass with her small children in tow.

Either the Vikings get their act together against the Lions, or they’ve already lost at the beginning of the third quarter.
Yes, it is only a one point game right now, but they’ve blown pass after pass after pass.

That’s it, the Vikings have lost with just over two minutes left in the third quarter. I’m no longer going to watch. Vikings 9 , Lions 17.

News for followers of Swan Eaters on Goat-Cronics (GoComics)

.

Georgia Dunn’s (Of Breaking Cat News fame) other comic strip Swan Eaters is returning on 20th January, (Page has been updated today) after almost four years on hiatus. This is great news for those of us who were waiting for its return. It went on hiatus after Georgia had a nasty medical episode, and she was determined to complete all the remaining strips before recommencing the run to make her daily strip-producing workload a bit easier.

It may be a miserable cold, wet, and windy, dreary Monday outside here in ‘Sunny’ Suffolk (UK), but the future is looking bright!*

.

* – NB: Swan Eaters is NOT a ‘Bright’ comic.

Thank you for your info about Swan Eaters!
In northern Upper Frankonia (DE) it is also cold and windy, but wet it was yesterday…
