Since their own corporation pays them, it’s like being self employed. They have to pay both halves of the social security contribution… I think that’s around 12% right now.

If you work for it, you get a paycheck, and your corporation withholds SS, and also pays its half as your employer.
If you get distributions that are not earnings, you pay tax on that too.
In a way, it’s double taxation, but it works out better in some cases. Don’t ask me… This is about as far as I go.

They get a small amount of added income from the state they live in, not the federal government.
Contributions to that program, qualifications, and amounts paid vary widely from state to state.

We used to go to a drive-in that had no rise to it… In fact on one side the back spaces were a little lower than the front ones.
